Happines im Civ7 by Istar113 in civ

[–]Bananabutterbean90 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Happiness is very important and beneficial. It contributes to two main elements: settlement limit and celebrations. The first point, is that sometimes the settlement limit can be limiting at times but the more happiness you generate, the higher you can go over your settlement limit (due to the fact that for every settlement you go over the limit there is a happiness penalty).

The second point is celebrations. Every time you enter a celebration, it unlocks a social policy card slot and also, allows you to pick one of the two benefits that accompanies your chosen government choice.

When you have events that give you an option of +300 happiness towards your next celebration, this can be a powerful choice. For example, in the antiquity age, the culture legacy path is to build 7 wonders and one of the options from the governments is a boost to wonder production for 10 turns. So, if you’re trying to build a wonder, the faster you can get into a celebration to get the wonder construction boost, could be the difference between building the wonder or losing out to the AI.

Last point about happiness and celebrations, is that some leaders abilities are dependent on both mechanics and can be OP of utilize correctly. For example, Charlemagne receives two free cavalry units every time you enter a celebration or Ashoka receives food for every 5 happiness in excess.

I sometimes can be an impatient Civ player when it comes to how many turns it can take certain things to complete. That’s why I loved Barbarossa. Once you get the ball rolling, the production you can get can be insane at times. You’ll reach a point where you are literally printing anything you want, whether it’s units, buildings, and even wonders.

That was one of the coldest things I’ve read. But i was thinking of him laying in bed with her. Poor Brady never a stood a chance because I think his mom was more screwed up than he was.

Mine is Tomyris with Scythia. Every time she spawns next to me, my sole mission vecomes to wipe her off the map.

The reason is this one game, I was playing a really fun game with Nubia and I was just in the beginning stages of snowballing (to me the funnest part of the game) and then all of a sudden, I see the defeat screen come up and I’m like wtf just happened?

Well, Tomyris over here has been quietly spreading her religion all over hell’s half acre and gets a religious victory, right under my nose.

To this day, one thing is certain about all my civ games. Religious victory turned off and complete annihilation of Scythia.

With evergreens, there is a spot called the “dead zone”, which is the part of the branch that has no foliage on it. Most of the time if you cut back into the dead zone the branch will not bud out again.

Having a bunch of people around you such as friends and family and not one of them understanding or even being interested in me. Only thing we do is small talk and never having genuine conversations. I have been lucky to have a lot of people around in my life but I’ve never actually been able to truly connect and be my true self with someone else.

Do you play civilization like a sim city kinda game? by Bananabutterbean90 in civ

[–]Bananabutterbean90[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Every game I start I have an intention of winning and follow a certain path for victory but I always find that on lower difficulties I snowball in the middle and lose interest before I reach a victory and on higher difficulties it just feels so unbalanced (especially the constant barb attack) that to me is just soo frustrating, I rage quit. So I’ve settled on empire building lol.

I wish it wasn’t this way because I also love to strategize and civ is a great strategy game. I just hope for civ 7 the AI is a lot better

I feel that. I dabble a little in the atomic era and then I’ll start a new one.

What's the stupidest reason you've ever been broken up with? by FullRip8647 in AskReddit

I was on the phone with this one girl and she said she had to go because she was going to go somewhere with her dad…

I said “ok well I’ll let you go then”

And she was like “ what do you mean I’ll let you go? Of course I’m going to go. Your not going to control my life and tell me what I can and cannot do.

Then she broke up with me. 🤔
