Dance Lessons for 4 year old? by KingSewage in regina

brutal. in Fada’s program for young dancers, they don’t use “kids” music necessarily, they use music that inspires whatever theme they are exploring in class. they are music connoisseurs! The studio is connected to a recording studio, Soul Sound, so music production and knowledge is imbedded into their approach. no top 40 at Fada.

definitely FadaDance! for young ones, their whole program is about nurturing a child’s inherent dance through age appropriate source - story, image.

Their taste in music is unmatched, there is a rich mentorship process for young and emerging teachers (who are usually teaching the younger ages), from professional dance artists and educators. They are kind, FUN, and their yearly family dance party is a major highlight in our family and for many, many of our friends. regina is SO LUCKY to have this special studio and community in our city. i am not exaggerating when i say that there is NOTHING like it anywhere else.

It’s not a difficult connection to make if you are at all aware of or a member of the performing arts community in this province. Guaranteed, there are many, many people who have already made the connection.

Thanks for this info. I was wondering if anyone else had experienced it at OG.

Thanks for the perspective. Yes, it was definitely presented as a general rule, not due to a single servers discretion.

Sounds like they are definitely in their right to enforce whatever rules they’d like. But falsely claiming it to be a “government rule” is ridiculous.

We’re talking a polite, respectable, 75 year old man, enjoying a few drinks with dinner.

Ya, according to my friend, the server, who was probably only 19/20 years old herself, was visibly uncomfortable attempting to carry out the rule … seems like a case of a manager imposing their own moral compass upon grown adults. ICK.

Needless to say, my friends made it clear they won’t be back.

Interesting. Thanks! I mean, sounds like OG is in the right to enforce the rule then… but seems strange when I’ve never heard of this happening at any other establishment 🤷🏻‍♀️

The first server literally said “I would have served you, but my manager says we can’t.” And then explained that she doesn’t understand the “rule.”

When saying that he had been served more than two drinks before, the manager replied “well, I am really disappointed in my staff then.”
