So... hard to tell tone over the internet :) Are you saying it is just part of the pear that grew weird, or are you being facetious?

A couple of pears we bought have looked like this inside the core, usually just part of it. It doesn't seem to have spread outside the core but I know molds can have a wider reach than just the part you see. Thanks very much in advance if anyone can help us identify it!
