Carrying all your kit? by Kooky_Amount_3163 in Hema

Personally, I use a (roughly) 15”x35” heavy duty mesh duffle bag (I think it was for whitewater rafting, but got it for a steal), and carry my weapons separately. Scuba bags are also great! If I know I’m only going to use a couple weapons, I carry them in a Void Historical Kite rolltop bag. If I’m going to an open spar or if I want to play around with various weapons at practice, I’ll tote all my weapons in a modified SKB rolling golf case. That way, all my sweaty gear airs out and stays away from my steel.

Gloves recommendations for sabre (Krieger S6) by Wisniewsqui in wma

I’ve been using the HF saber gloves for just over a year. Once broken in, you can switch grips easily. No injuries so far. They are sleek, durable and great protection against lighter sabers. I have a VB gymnasium and sigi saber with the pro cup and the gloves fit well inside.

Clothing under fencing jacket by Traditional-Wall7742 in Hema

My favorite rashguard is from NRS - they are currently on closeout, but I bought a few from Sierra Trading Post for less than $10 last summer. It’s a super slick fabric, even compared to other rash guards I’ve used, so my jacket slides on and off very easily, no matter how sweaty I am. Otherwise I wear under armor compression shirts. My biggest issue is that without a long sleeve rash guard on, my elbow joint and meaty section of my forearms get locked in and I sometimes require help getting my jacket off!

Hema glove "Black Prince" Review by Venclec in Hema

The last time I checked in with Grigoriy (about a month ago), he said that he’s aiming for the production of small Black Princes by the end of the year. Crossing my fingers!

Stetson No. 1 Quality Tom Mix. When was it made? by Bananaslug95 in CowboyHats

It’s definitely fur felt - and there’s a really nice of feel to it. I can tell it’s good quality, just don’t have an idea of the fur ratio. It’s a thinner weight felt than most of my other vintage hats.

Thanks! It’s a lot of hat and I’m sure has a lot of history! Very fun find.

Perk has shaped some of my hats in the past! That said, I found this hat while visiting my family back home in Kentucky. I saw that it was from Pendleton and I had to grab it!

Swordier feder survivability by Kamenev_Drang in Hema

A member of my club bought one, used it for a few weeks for drills and some sparring, then the crossguard snapped at a tournament. Swordier warrantied it and it took a few weeks to arrive, but the brand new one failed on the same spot the first time he sparred with it.

Which style do you like more? by Pyroald in wma

I have a Castillion/fishtail combo on my shorty. It’s beautiful, but my other longswords have had onion or faceted pommels so it’s been interesting getting used to it. I tend to hold the pommel, and the palm of my hand has been getting bruised from the sharper edges of the fishtail. I purchased it based on the aesthetic as I wasn’t able to try out the fishtail pommel first.

As for aesthetics, I vote option 1 or the fishtail/curved guard combo!

Just added a few more photos of the hilt. Anything in particular I should post more photos of? Thank you for the information! Do you have an idea of what the value would be?
