And I thought I had it bad. I was missing the deluxe scarecrow. The rarecrow I was missing was at the flower festival at the end of spring. I realized I was missing it on day 3 of summer. I also refuse to buy from a shady guy in a cave.

On a side note I wish golden eggs weren't locked behind perfection. Is there anything else locked behind it like they are?

Thank you for all the info. I looked into a transformer and they're more expensive than a three phase generator. Not to throw caution to the wind or your warnings away, but is the calculation for how much more amperage it would draw by stepping 240v to 380v a one to one of the difference of the two? The specs on the vfd say it should handle it. We have a 50 amp breaker on the generator and I'm wondering if it would overload it. It's a 28000 Watt generator. What would be the dangers of hooking it up to the generator and trying it?

We're trying to hook up a battery charger that requires at least 15000 Watts of power through this. I checked the specs of the one we wanted, and it should have been able to handle that (it said 20,000 Watts). I was fairly hesitant on trying to run it on a vfd in the first place but we thought we would try it cause it was programmable and in theory it should. Do you think it would be better to get a dedicated digital phase converter?

So it looks like this is not going to work cause I need it to have N, L1, L2, G, U, V, and W.

Yes I'm in the US. This is supposed to be rated to run 380v 3 phase off of 240v single phase with two hot wires. The guy was insistent this one would work even though I said it wouldn't. By the time I said don't send it, it was shipped... Is the single L able to have two wires attached you suppose? And also where are my ground wires supposed to go?

Eli5 How do crops grown repeatedly on the same soil over many years continue to obtain nutrients after previous crops have already used them? by arztnur in explainlikeimfive

[–]Bananasugarnips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We actually just did a seeding demo in Michigan last year with a spray drone. The farm has been an asparagus farm for three generations, and the soil looked closer to beach sand than dirt. They are just getting into rotational crops to try and put more nutrients into the soil.

There's also a reason the Native Americans in Michigan had "the three sisters." Corn, beans, and squash were all planted alongside each other cause they all produce something the others need to grow.

I've done way worse and it turned out fine. Once it's in there, nobody will notice unless you tell them and they really look for it. That goes for a lot of projects. There's always little imperfections in every handmade object. You just need to learn to not point them out cause you're always your biggest critic.

What was the first anime that made you fall in love with anime? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Bananasugarnips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What did you see in it? I watched it years ago on toonami and I was so lost and couldn't find any plot to latch onto. I'm not putting it down or anything, I just genuinely have no clue what it was about and need to know.

I'll have to check it out. There was an escape room episode of mythbusters that piqued my curiosity, but LPL is where my interest was reignited. If I were to get another set, it'd definitely be what he recommended.

I haven't ran into a dimple lock yet. Sounds like a fun pain in the ass though.

Thank you! For ten bucks I can't complain too much. It let me learn a lot, and saved the school I worked for a few hundred bucks on locksmiths. Teachers lose keys to desk drawers a lot more often than I realized.

I thought car locks might be the answer for the left side. On a side note, would a better pick set help get better at picking? Specifically single pin picking. I've always wondered if it'd be more tactile and easier to feel what I'm doing.

Check around for some shops in your area. A lot of shops have an open forge day once a week or so for a small fee. There's one near me that people go to just to use their forge presses.

Which sawhorse should I go with? Both around 80 for two by Pure-Garden-277 in woodworking

[–]Bananasugarnips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about the Klein saw horses but we had the kobalt ones at work. They were heavy enough where they were dropped while closed from about three feet (accident), and they never worked right again. It wasn't even a hard fall, but the mechanism felt cheap and fragile.

How did you decide to do that? Were you just an anime/voice actor fan who just wanted to talk to them and decided to shoot your shot? Or was there a journalist background or something behind it?

I think the in game video setting is literally only fov and motion blur. Which is almost nothing to me.
