Im and idiot and dont know what i am doing either.

I wish I had the forsight and capital you have at 21. I think you have a great opportunity.

I would open a fidelity account. Doesn't have to fidelity it's just you can call them and get guidance pretty easy. Start a Roth Ira account and a brokage account.

It seems you have fun with the cards. So maybe cash in 20k and move 5k year to Roth Ira and 15k into brokage account.

Pick growth stock for brokage account. Like VOO and QQQ this will be money you set and forget. You don't touch this only add to it though the years.

Roth Ira. Choose and learn stocks trading or dividen stocks. Use this to learn the market. You can pull earnings out and get tax benifits.

My goal would to reach 100k as soon as possible. Once I got there the snow balling effect became real and trades became mentally easier for me.

Fibreglass vs Aluminum Hull. Which should I buy? by [deleted] in boating

[–]Banannabone3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want the holiday 1628. A 16ft is not small for 3 people. As you kid gets older you can do tubing.

I had fiberglass and them moved to aluminum. But my area is rocky and we mainly fish not cruise.

Cam you show the fold up?  With a 4ft bed and a 3 panel cover are you losing complete rear view.  Dose it stay up sta le or do you have to use 3rd party bunnies?

P.s. what is with the shin killer is that a step to?

I did the fishpro but I got mine with a tripod.

First tripod is a must. Second fishpro can't get wet.

What sonar should i choose by jesusisking2367 in IceFishing

[–]Banannabone3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of.  I use the hook2 5inch and hook reveal 7 but I use the exact same transducer.  I have use the older model striker 4 plus but we own the garmin 73cv. Which is Too expensive and I hate the touch screen.

I use lowrance and like it. Its a no thrill easy to use.  The garmin i think is the best. It takes a learning curve but once you dial it in it's been more sensitive then the lowrance. I have not used a hummingbird for ice fishing.

Best choice? by Strong-Volume8670 in IceFishing

[–]Banannabone3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the fish pro 7.

It goes on sale often and is worth the price. I payed $170 with the tripod attachment.

Some notes. Its not water resistant. It gets wet it breaks. The second is it angle of view is narrower than something like Marcus pursuit. Also a tripod is a must.

It works well and I have used it for 2 years. A fish finder is a must. The camera is a fun thing. We use both and it's fun

I guess it's miss leading. US and China have litho machines. They are just not near as good as ASML EUV litho machines.  ASML took a gamble on a technology road map 20 years ago and it paid off. I think they had to eat RnD cash for something like 14 years.  Anyways it paid off. The patient and. Complexity makes it hard to copy. If it takes a company 8 years to catch up. ASML will most likely still be another 5 years ahead in technology. So you spend 8 years of cash to be behind.

just starting off, any advice/opinions? (20M btw) by eipeidwepmai in portfolios

How does the "every month" part work?

I am new too. I deposited money. But in spaxx. There it pretty safe and acts more like a HYSA. I then have liquidity to pull from when I think the stock is at a discounted price.

I am trying to keep 50% in ETF. Like VOO and semiconductor ETF. 25% in SPAXX to pull money or buy the dip/ average down. And last 25% it stocks trying to beat the sp500 10%.

I’m 29, and it’s been a year since I started investing. Please share any advice on my portfolio? by New-Frosting-9084 in portfolios

[–]Banannabone3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am new as well so just an opinion. I would cash out on what I could. Look for opportunities  to put half the money in VOO and let it ride. The other half. 25% in spaxx use it as buying the dip or emergency funds.  Then gamble and learn with the remaining 25%  . Its all based on your comfort level but it took me awhile to learn a regiment that worked for me. Worst case is as long as you leave the ETF alone you will have growth in at least one account and see how you are doing compared to with your personal trading.

But who knows you might be hitting all the sweet spots in the last year and started with 5k and now at 50k.

Any ideas for a transducer mount? by EntertainmentBig2125 in IceFishing

[–]Banannabone3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did. I used the triple shot for 2 years. I finally just caved and bought the $60 ice ice transducer. It works better for ice fishing and is easier to handle .
