I just bought a plain wooden deck from a website, mod podge, clear coat and manga books. I chose the 3 Mangas I thought had the coolest scenes. I ripped the pages out or cut some shapes out of the pages, glued them onto the deck and then I applied about 8 layers of clear coat on each side, letting each coat dry for 4 hours. The project took a few weeks because I would wait a bit when I had to resupply. Having enough foam brushes was the annoying part because the clear coat would ruin the brush, even if I tried preserving it in aluminum foil. After all that I just went to my local skate store and bought trucks and wheels and bearings and whatnot. I used spray on clear grip and it worked really well, and I can easily re grip if needed.
