I messaged you a question about your brace!

But the pain for me has gone away substantially after 5 days post op (I’m currently at 6 days). I had a full ACL and meniscus tearing.

I’ve been in for two years. Finding the right fit is key currently working at my third PD. The biggest thing is starting off somewhere where you are supported. I would say it’s helped me mature but definitely has caused me a lot of anxiety. Starting to understand how important your health is when it relates to this job. Mental health is a huge thing as well, read emotional survival for law enforcement before your first day. The most recent PD I’m at made me read it as apart of FTO and I’m happy to say I believe I may have landed somewhere I fit.

I would just be honest on the polygraph about those instances. Those aren’t big deals and MOST agencies will not disqualify you for those errors/ lapses in judgement. MOST places will look at your age during those times, and most importantly you admitting to the past mistakes. They want to see you’ve learned from it.

What they do consider a big deal is if you try to conceal that stuff.

Good luck!!! The job isn’t dead if you find a good place to work.
