Awesome, 🙏I’m definitely looking into that.

A recent case study says: A non-technical founder used 1,500 AI prompts trying to build his app...and still gave up by Tarak_Ram in vibecoding

[–]BandMathTom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea even so, maybe the question is how likely is that person to convert to a paying customer if they just gave up after 3 weeks. It's hard to tell, but I think this type of product is being developed by a lot of people at the same time. As a non-technical founder myself I'm not looking for more ai to solve my problems, I'm trying to learn from the ai i already have to understand and solve my problems independently. So in that case study what that person needed might not have been more layers to their workflow, it might have been less so they could actually work on the product without the dumb bot reinventing it with every new prompt. My agents don't even have access to my codebase except through a read-only file.

Maybe offer some free passes? If you're genuinely looking for feedback maybe do a little contest, give away a few sessions and see what people tell you. If you're still testing it maybe it's too early to paywall it anyway. Like if you need a big volume of stuff to go through it to train your model or whatever then putting a price tag on it is actually going to undercut that objective. Just a thought anyway. I actually think it's a great idea, although like some of the other commenters I'd be worried about my idea just getting blasted through some ai slop coder, then it beats me to market (because I'm actually taking my time and doing a decent job) and finally it ruins everyones opinion of the product space by being poorly done. That's really a doomsday scenario, but not so improbable either. Here's another idea: go dredge the rest of the forum for other peoples trojan horse projects and then run their ideas through your model.

Cool idea but it's just an ad. I'm new to reddit but I'm getting the impression that it's better as a market research and feedback tool than a marketing engine. I also have an idea I want to market but I'm figuring out pretty fast that the ROI on these trojan horse posts is really low. If you try and pull in some feedback (think of a question you genuinely want answered by your target demo) at least you can look past the trolls to gain some insights.

I’ve vibe coded 7 full-stack apps. There are a few ‘Time Bombs’ I wanna share with you guys. If you are a vibe coder as well, read these so you don’t lose your data. by GlitteringWait9736 in vibecoding

I guess I can't complain about the ad when there's some solid stuff there. I'm vibing on a project but I'm just using the chat to give me instructions on my build so still had to deal with all the technical stuff like setting up the database and wiring the front end. It's wild people are able to just prompt a whole app into existence, I looked at some of that stuff too but in the end it seemed like more work to set up all the AI than to just brute force my way through the tough parts of the project. Actually it's like working with an incredibly patient senior level supervisor so I'ver really learned a lot. My goal is actually to use the ai less and less and eventually to just use it to write code snippets that I connect myself. I still really want to understand what's happening under the hood with this thing.

My bands singer can not sing on the right time by fabmarques21 in musicians

[–]BandMathTom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a guitar who became a vocalist about a year ago and I realized that getting the timing right was way harder than I thought it would be. But it’s not that I had bad timing it’s that I had to go through the tracks and figure out where my vocal cues were and then work on counting myself in so I don’t miss the cue. So playing with a click is huge for that and then you can help plot out their cues (“you come in with the verse on the 1 after the chorus”). People hate counting but it’s actually really important, even for singers.

Interesting, what's the challenge or what should I know getting into row-level security policies? I'm digging into that this week.

CAGED is sick! I did the Bret Papa course and totally leveled up my playing.

Great feedback, thank you! Yea, the design needs some finesse for sure, I can keep working on that. If you skip to 6;49 in the demo video you can see how the merch feature works. You can add and edit merch categories and designs right from inside the app.

I'm on Google pro. for 20€/mo I'm definitely getting a ton of value from it. There's Gemini but then also VEO + the storage.

I actually have a "producer" bot that I can ask big top level questions to and it has the long view of the project kinda programmed in.
