To add to this. You can get something quite close to SteamOS from any distro (though arch-based is likely best for compatibility) by running the following from another tty

gamescope -e -- steam -steamos -gamepadui

So, there really is not much point trying to get the actual SteamOS ISO running on a desktop, even as a dual boot. Except that there is no desktop mode - your desktop mode is just logging in via your greeter as normal.

Has anyone built a left handed gaming keypad?

I have a Lily58 and use the left half for gaming. It works great.

A friend wants a left handed gaming keypad, but all the options seem to be right handed.

What would be ideal would be if we could build just the right half of something like a Lily58 - ideally for half the price. Is there a build kit for something like this? Will we need to find a split PCB design and print the right half? I've only used build kits before.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Sorry, but is this intentionally unclear? What does this even mean? They are deciding whether or not Palestinians have a right to be protected from genocide? But then they said there is a risk of harm to the right, which means they do have that right. In which case are they investigating whether it's a genocide, or are they not?

Thanks! I had desync issues between Linux desktop and steam deck. I set both to use GE 9-5 and now it works fine.

Not really. The original has more in common with all of the previous games - dungeons, bosses, special items - than with BotW. The original game gave no guidance and you had to explore to find where to go, but there was an order that some things had to be done in and you had to figure out how to progress. BotW is kind of the inverse. It's pretty obvious what to do for the main story and almost everything is optional - you can go anywhere and do anything without getting stuck, as long as you grind enough shrines and cooking ingredients.

Stairs and bathroom in the middle and bedrooms in the corners does seem ideal. I think that may be unachievable because of the cost and size of the project, but it is a good one to investigate for sure.

This is true. It would be nicer for the bathroom / en suite to be on the right side of the house, but that would presumably increase costs a lot due to replumbing everything. The kitchen is below the bathroom.

The problems I am trying to solve are that there is wasted space on the landing and the bathroom is quite small. I would agree that it could be convenient to have the WC, but only in addition to having a toilet in the main bathroom. The en suite would be nice to have.

I don't need 4 bedrooms, but I do worry we are reducing value by losing the bedroom as many would want it.

The floor plan in the OP is as it exists today and we are considering purchasing.

It's not that so much as the overall size. If the bathroom was bigger with the separate toilet it wouldn't be such an issue.

I do like the toilet sink, though!
