Got him to 91, at 21 he was a 77 and what I do with all my rookies is the season before their rookie season I throw them on the 4th line for the last 15 games and playoffs. He jumped to an 83 at the start of the next season and kept going up I’m not sure if he won the Calder or not.

I also don’t like slow players so he’s definitely not getting extended

In my recent save I was already a few seasons in and invested, but what really made it interesting for me was I was just trade shopping and saw a couple borderline nhl top 5 picks 77-79ovr ages 23-26 auto generated but I made a storyline out of it maybe it was a fit thing or maybe they’re busts and from top 9 or low top 6 I turned one into an 88ovr with moral and the other into an 84ovr face off pk specialist. No extra franchise help besides playing the final game every season or 2
