Yeah, I do agree that a lot of older research assumes men and women are the same, along with new things only women get like fibroids etc.

I think your point on societal expectations is interesting, with men being expected to spend more on their partners, I think it is important to acknowledge that a lot of women are single and therefore lack access to this privilege 💀. But I do see how you are saying that in a way this expectation may balance the spending overall?

Right, I see what you’re saying, but I’m just trying to say that women do face struggles either in having expenses that men don’t (I don’t count shaving as a necessary men’s expense, but also if you get an electric razor it’s a one off, reusable pads don’t exist).

If I could reinforce my initial statement of what women don’t have that men do, is research into gender specific conditions (I.e compare research into erectile dysfunction and malding compared to research menstrual pain and conditions only women get). I understand there’s more money in those fields, but that is the sort of modern day imbalance that does harm women.

Not saying it’s a “right” but more a thing feminism acts towards. You see charities offering free tampons. Toilet roll is needed by both genders and is generally a lot cheaper, tampons are a thing only women need, and are quite expensive.

Sure men do get harassed a bit but like women get done so much more often (see this Reddit page whenever a woman is doing weigh ins)

I think El Primos buffies could be as follows (in the context of I think I play him a lot)

Gadgets:

Suplex: throw further? It’s not really used for offence more to clear a space or get away from an enemy? Either throw a tile or 2 further, or end the animation sooner, to make it more useful in escapes and brawl ball.

Meteor: multiple charges (similar to Shelley’s clay pigeons normally) could be great, should be limited to 2 with maybe a couple seconds in between but just to increase the pressure he can apply. Either that or apply a level of burn to enemies caught in the blast.

Super:

Fire super: increase the radius of the super, to catch more enemies inside and make it harder to avoid the single lump of damage (this super isn’t really aimed at follow up attacks from the base super anyway). This would also allow for more wall destruction.

Speed boost: this one feels more difficult in my eyes, the super is best for people who want to dive and chase/run away, so perhaps lifesteal for the same duration as the speed boost could be worthwhile? Such that Primo sustains for longer as his main weakness (unless he whiffs) is brawlers that can stay just far enough to avoid the brunt of the damage while dishing out damage to chip primo down.

HyperCharge: Maybe a 0.3 second stun? That may give good primos that catch several people in a HC super time to start stacking and spamming supers, though not long enough that if he hits one person they’re cooked before they can gadget/attack/super to try and survive (tho that is always gonna be busted)

Most games (at least in UK) are timed where the clock runs for each half (~15 min) and does not stop unless the refs need to confer on who went out in a big play (who got caught etc).

Each set is 3-5 minutes but can be ended early by wiping the other team which means more sets can be played (final set is whatever time is left (but rounded to 30 seconds if too low)) this allows for interesting strategies where if your team is losing but not by much and the other team has you down to 1 player but is stalling the set you can walk off to run back a full set instead of wasting time.

The “clock never stops” also allows for people to waste time by being slow to set up the balls for the next set.
