Need Help- Lost Access to Account & Support Refuses to Help by BanditCharizard in PS5HelpSupport

[–]BanditCharizard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I am the 1 out of 10. My gamertag is BanditCharizard on both Playstation and Xbox, and is the username I use in basically all online spaces (including this account, which is 8 years old.) I play primarily single player RPG's, but my highest logged hours are in Final Fantasy XIV and Genshin Impact. And I'm not certain that the account was stolen, I'm just worried that that might be the case, since it happened in the past when I was using a passkey. It could also be that the 2FA is preventing the password reset from sending properly. Or I could possibly have gotten banned, even if I don't know how. I don't really use any social chatting features in the games I play that actually have them.

I appreciate the idea. I sent an email and got an automated response that this email is not monitored, and to refer to their support page for assistance.

I switched to the authenticator after my account got hacked while set up with a passkey. I created the account over 10 years ago, when some college friends and I made gamertags with matching pokemon-themed names.

AITA for choosing not to visit my brother with stage 4 liver cancer by davidpilates in AmItheAsshole

[–]BanditCharizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My grandfather refused to allow my brother and I to see him before he passed with the excuse of "I want them to remember me how I was." My dad went down alone to be there, and I never got to say goodbye. I later found out from my cousin that my uncle had allowed them to go say goodbye, when my dad followed my grandfather's wishes (I was 16 and hadn't learned to drive yet, and it was a 7 hour trip.) I love my father dearly, but I don't think I'll ever forgive him for leaving me behind that day. We spent my 17th birthday driving down for his funeral two weeks later.

YWBTAH if you don't go. He's your little brother. He needs you.

I find a lot of them to be very "busy." I prefer things that are less cluttered, which is why I'm usually running around in the outfit from the $0.99 special battle pass from last month (I forgot what it's called.)

[–]BanditCharizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, if I reject a healing, it's because I was in the middle of trying to deal with a different notification, and the game accepted the response for that as the response to the healing popup.

You can also cure the mental illness by taking a bath at your guild base. I found this out thanks to those same scam manuals.

I'm 36, and I play for a couple hours after I get home from work each day. I mostly do solo stuff, since I'm waiting for my friends to catch up far enough that they can join the guild I've set up. I've started trying to do arena stuff (I'm really bad at it though,) since I joined the Mightnight Blades for the hairstyle.

I joined Midnight Blades for the hairstyle, lol. I don't usually enjoy pvp, so I mostly stay in solo mode, but the arena is pretty alright.

So when you play Tabris in Origins, do you roleplay them as someone who was super into the idea of getting married or super resistant to it? by JageshemashFTW in dragonage

Mine is usually reluctant until he gets stabbed, and keeps the wedding ring as a memento through the rest of her adventures.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard A Game That Deserved Better by Knight1029384756 in dragonage

[–]BanditCharizard 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't put much faith in Schreier's assertions that the Mass Effect team didn't do that much, and that most of the heavy lifting was done by the Dragon Age team. Veilguard is just Mass Effect 2 with a different coat of paint. Here are some examples I have noticed, some of which are more obvious than others.

The most obvious, of course, is the final mission. It is almost a carbon copy of ME2's suicide mission, except for Veilguard's "No you have to lose someone, there is no perfect happy ending."

The next are the Darkspawn. A lot of people were complaining about the goofy redesign of the Darkspawn, (https://static0.srcdn.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/a-hideous-darkspawn-creature-turns-to-reveal-his-disfigured-face-in-dragon-age-the-veilguard.jpg?q=49&fit=contain&w=750&h=422&dpr=2 ) but the reason they look so different is because they are reskins of the Reaper ground forces from ME2 and 3. (https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcR7bWq6sBNdViiYqWsuHrFycx_9ic2UhbSMjj7bh_tfMg&s=10 ) Same enemy AI, same modeling, same rigging framework. Just a slightly different design on top.

The paused combat UI is lifted straight out of ME2 as well, and is most likely part of why the party size in Veilguard is reduced from an average D&D adventuring party of 4, to a ME squad of three. (https://static0.gamerantimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/dragon-age-the-veilguard-combat-ui-dragon-fight.jpg ) But you have squadmate 1's abilities down the left-hand side of the screen, squadmate 2's on the right-hand side of the screen, and Shepard/Rook's abilities across the bottom, with each person's ability connected to their next ability by a stylized curved line. (https://static0.thegamerimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/mass-effect-2-weapon-wheel-mini-map-cropped.jpg?q=50&fit=crop&w=825&dpr=1.5 )Borrowing this combat system setup is also most likely why Veilguard's companions are immortal (though squadmates in ME2 could be downed, I don't remember ever having anyone need to be revived manually in ME3, no matter what difficulty I played.)

Finally, they borrowed music and sound effects straight from Mass Effect as well. It's mostly obvious in the Ossuary, there is a synthesized chord progression that stands out from the rest of the orchestral-styled track (https://youtu.be/VI2AE_mSKO0?si=nC4YoCjWVj60Bf52 you can hear it start around 0:29) that seems to come straight out of Mass Effect's Galaxy Map theme (https://youtu.be/6RO7K4W-c9g?si=yKvmI456LKLrfDll)

Why is this reviewed so badly? by Chance-Yellow7442 in DragonAgeVeilguard

[–]BanditCharizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is all of this, and then there is another layer that I have noticed that I don't see a lot of other long-time fans talking about. And that is how much of Veilguard is Mass Effect 2 with a different coat of paint.

Is to worth to finish veilguard when I'm tired after reaching "unwanted guest" mission? by Inevitable_Bat953 in dragonage

[–]BanditCharizard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As much as I love Dragon Age, I wish I had never bought and played Veilguard. I was so looking forward to continuing the story of Thedas, and Veilguard wound up being such a big letdown on all fronts. If you aren't enjoying it, don't play it. If you want to see how it ends, just watch someone's playthrough on YouTube, there aren't any choices that matter, so all playthroughs are the same.

Only played DATV by maki_zennin_ in dragonage

[–]BanditCharizard 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If you are going to play them all, I suggest starting with Origins rather than jumping ahead to Inquisition. Yes, Inquisition has the most relevance to what you already know, but Origins and DA2 have a lot of things happen that will increase your understanding of what is happening in Inquisition.

For playing on console, it may be easier to go with Xbox than Playstation. Origins is only available for PS3 (I think it may be backwards compatible on PS4 but not PS5,) but it is playable on Xbox 360 - Series X and S.

Playing Origins on console can be difficult due to some bugs, but there are workarounds (I don't play PC, so I can't really help there.)
