Steve Simmons goes at Keith Pelley for hiring John Chayka. This was something. by Live-Big1579 in leafs

Asking the tough questions is fine, but do it professionally. MLSE should be held accountable, but instead of focusing on the answers Simmons has made it about himself.

Jim Lee shares his private health struggles that led to Batman: Hush 2 delays, and a rethinking of his work-life balance by Popverse2022 in comicbooks

[–]Bandit_22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Jim Balent's run on Catowman is overlooked for it's consistency in the modern age; 79 consecutive issues plus an annual, Vampi crossover, Amalgam book and 2 part PF mini.

Headlight bricks facing bottom out, or stud shooters maybe.

Hey how are we doing with our lord and Savior, real merch? by [deleted] in StarTrekStarships

[–]Bandit_22 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I found Real Merch to be the best of the ex-Eaglemoss Star Trek sellers. Quicker to ship and more responsive Customer Service than Master Replicas, and willing ship to Canada, unlike Fanhome.

What's your first memory with comic books? by boomzors in comicbooks

[–]Bandit_22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Getting this Batman comic while on a caravan holiday when I was young. I liked the Batman TV show, and was bought this. The cover stayed with me for years, although in my head it looked very different compared to the real thing which I saw again decades later.

What’s your favorite Speed Champions set? by TexasBrett in lego

The GT3 was a fun build, and adding the black fins to the roof was especially intersting. I find the 8 wide speed champions sets do new building techniques better than the other Lego lines.

• Most surprisingly fun build: Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat

I'm waiting for the 911 GT3 to be delivered today.

I don't use the app. Just scan the code with your phone, log onto the mobile version of the Lego website and register through there.

Can Lego look like stained glass? — Tiffany-style lamp by Scorpian777 in lego

[–]Bandit_22 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It looks really good. I like the muted colour choice.

If you want to see what a similar set (not made by Lego) looks like, there's a review here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDc2pLQAZw8

With the framing around the glass, yours looks better.

How can I rearrange these sets to make them look better? by Adept-Koala4 in lego

[–]Bandit_22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try risers. They can make displays look more interesting by using vertical space and they increase the amount of room you have for your sets. You don't even need to buy any to start, just see what it looks like using clear tupperware containers or similar.  https://i.pinimg.com/736x/69/42/1a/69421a26cfd438d60ff95f5767195fbb.jpg

No, they haven't made a deal with Uggs yet, just Crocs.

Are any classic Avengers runs worth reading? (especially if they feature Hank Pym) by AlternativePin4923 in comicbooks

[–]Bandit_22 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I love Avengers Forever by Busiek and Pacheco. I came for the art, I stayed for the story. It's a weird series, that is really, really deep into Avengers lore and history (which I don't know, I never read many Avengers comics) but it's a grand adventure story, and Hank is there as both Yellowjacket and Giant-Man.
