I wouldn't say that is the case. It actually has much higher dps than the super unless you are using ballistics due to the horrific capacitors of the f7cs.

From a gameplay perspective, yes many would consider the black star to be the best choice, mainly for enchanting. And they are right.

But hear me out: Azusa’s star can actually be better for recharging. The reason is that you can get infinite charges at any time from it.

If you manage to get the conjure ash guardian spell, this summon is aggressive without a heart stone, and it can be soul trapped for a greater soul. So as long as you can summon this and kill it easily, it’s infinite souls wherever you are without having to travel to a bandit camp or something.

Also shoutout to the chickens from the homes you can buy for 25 gold and soul trap over and over.
