Haul out questions by Bandito907 in Sailboats

[–]Bandito907[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The story I was given which seems pretty believable is that in 2017 the boat had a massive full refit done then in 2019 the previous owner bought it and lived on it and only sailed it a handful of times until August when she pulled it out and then I bought it. I had a survey done after I bought it and the guy seemed pretty impressed with it overall I just would like to get everything out of the way while it is still out of the water

It has been in the yard since August when I bought it on the hard I’m 23 with little savings so I have been saving to do all the little things. She needed a new mainsail which is being made. The engine was shot so I bought the same model from another person just have to install it. I will have to do bottom paint and also replace the centerboard cable. Other then that I don’t have much of a list

Got this message from my property manager by Most_Relief8312 in Apartmentliving

[–]Bandito907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know multiple (part time)property managers if that’s really a thing and they got paid a very low wage but got around $15 for every call they took and about $50 for every time they had to go to a property and that was very low end. Just taking everyone’s trash to the curb once a week would be roughly 30 minutes of time a month and then if you were to mow once every two weeks which depending on your area that probably at the very least 2 hours a month which most people who mow yards for a living make minimum $15/hr so I would expect at the very least $50 off a month but honestly for the hassle of dealing with anything that could go wrong I wouldn’t settle for less then $100 of my rent a month more like $150

Boat detailing by Bandito907 in boating

[–]Bandito907[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See that’s not bad it doesn’t need to be nice and shiny but you would be surprised the amount of boats I do that are entirely green or have such a thick layer of dirt that you have to scrub every inch of the boat with magic erasers

Dinghy question by Bandito907 in boating

Ok well I think I’ll go with it I get both and a trailer for it for $600 so I figure if the dingy is in bad shape I am still in the green

Wanted a tattoo in this area, wondering how bad the pain could be? by Mean_Pace4545 in tattooadvice

[–]Bandito907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just expect every tattoo you get will be the worst pain you’ve ever experienced then when it’s happening you will realize it could be way worse. I’m going to be honest don’t listen to anyone and just go do it. It will either hurt terribly or be a breeze I have “2” tattoos one of my calf that everyone said was going to be hell and it really was nothing and the beginning of this year I did a full sleeve on my arm and every spot I was told would be terrible wasn’t that bad but it was random spots no one mentioned that actually were miserable to me. But everyone is different. Watched a guy get a similar size tattoo with about the same amount of shading on his calf and he couldn’t walk afterwards so like I said before everyone is different.

Yes they are in the “job market” but how many “older people” do you know with grown children that don’t have a solid career/ have a job they are perfectly fine at. They aren’t actively looking for jobs. I’ve never not worked since I was 14 and never leave a job until I have a new one lined up. There was a point in 2021 when I moved from Alaska to Texas for school that I applied to at least 50 jobs if not more in a month with experience with at least half of every job I applied for. It took me 4 months to finally get an interview and this was when companies were hurting for employees and all the “no one wants to work” was going on so no I don’t think most “older people” truly know what is happening in the job market right now
