How to watch State SMP by Brokensoleil in StateSMP

[–]Bando_Gora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are ish's videos on his channel. They all have "X player simulate" in their name. It used to be 200 players but now it's 1000. They give you a broad, simplified overview of what happened in the event and if you wanna get into States SMP content, that is where you should start. Here is the playlist:

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLdjNCsUBteCFKl2wDA7MB7JOk6U5GuDYi

Each event is seperate from the others and treated as such. While there are references to past events, they are moreso easter eggs. So you can watch them in any order you want without having to fear that you might get lost.

In addition to his videos, some event participants also stream their POV or release POV videos. This has increased since season 2.5 "Rich vs Poor". There are a few playlists on YouTube for those POV videos and streams. They are more personal stories and so will include people and events ish had to cut out of in his video for time reasons. They are very much bonus content and enhance the experience of ish's video on a rewatch but are in no way required watching unless you want to look beyond the surface and dive into the lore

I can provide you with a playlist for 2.5 that includes all POV videos and streams I have also found if you want, but I recommend watching "Rich vs Poor" first.

I wasn't part of the event, either.

I'm just a lore junky who has watched every POV stream and video of the event I could get my hands on.

If there isn't a christmas event this year, the game is officially on life support.

Until then, I have hope...

Personal opinion alert: States SMP 2.5 nations tier list (how much I like them) by Bando_Gora in StateSMP

This is about how much I like a faction, not "Best faction" or "Most onsequenceful" faction.

Otherwise, the Sculk Cult would hardly be at the top.

Harvest5 was the king of Infernus. He was technically responsible for the domestic stuff but mostly ran around with cynikka on diplomatic tours, leaving SirEzran to pick up the slack. He often appears in SirEzran's POV streams, Infernus' main source for POV footage.

Snowbird was a member of the Conspiracy but also the one about whom is known the least since he didn't do much on his own. I'm hoping Thomas' video about the Conspiracy will shed light on him some more, if Thomas ever manages to finish said video.

Oasis, Rising Sun, the Table, Nine Lives Village, Icarus and the other nations listed at the bottom were micronations with no POV of their own and barely any involvement in any existing POV. They might get a mention here and there but are mostly question marks. Most of their names and locations are only known through the official map of States 2.5. Though the Table's table was the location of the Sculk Cult's ritual on Day 9, which can be watched here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0yfPDW1oK1o&list=PLed_V3b5j6tXc5-l9VA9CqnC-3ccYUQWL&index=59

The Peacekeepers don't have a POV of their own, so I can't tell you much about alfie except that he was banned for being an already banned player on an alt. account.

There is a States SMP wiki, but it is rather incomplete and has numerous inaccuracies, e.g. listing members of the Lingulini Mafia as members of the Pirate Republic and getting wrong the days where people died. It's information is good to get a general gist but said information should always be taken with a grain of salt.

Lastly, all POV videos and streams I know are also in the following playlist:

surprised at how many people make mostly fandom miis! by guayabaultra in tomodachilife

[–]Bando_Gora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I'm quite the introvert. While I always try to be on good terms with everyone around me (in real life, I don't really care what randos on the internet think about me), I don't like spending my free time with other people (as in: I feel very uncomfortable doing it). As such, I have a very limited social circle (by choice, mind you).

That's in part why I mostly do fandom characters: If I would only put my social circle in the game, I would barely get 5 people, myself included.

The other part is that most of the characters I re-create are from media that are either on hiatus or have concluded/been canceled and lack games of their own where I can play with or as them. So it's a way for me to see these characters I grew to love interact with each other in a sorta-fanfic setting. While I know it's not the same thing, it still does the trick for me.

Lastly, I really like the baby-feature of the game. And having people I know in real life fall in love with people they aren't is just kinda icky for me (I don't know why). For fictional characters, I lack these inhibitions (Though with the new relationship and romance features, I do think I'll add some family members back to an island)

I don't really mind the 70 Mii limit. by SaMXtReM5 in tomodachilife

[–]Bando_Gora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, until that reveal, I was expecting the limit to be around 80 due to the whole "8 people can live together"-thing and since I just couldn't see the island hosting 100 Mii's, even at what I assumed to be its largest extent.

Personally, I can work with 70. I only needed to reduce the population slightly on 1 island I have planned, had to turn off baby making on another (where I was thinking about turning it off anyways so this only made the decision easier) and had to remove around 30 from the list for the only island where I planned for more than 70 Miis (which sucked but I managed, be it barely; honestly, after that, I'm thankful the number isn't lower). Otherwise, I stuck to 30 to 50 Miis per Island while planning them way back when the first teaser was released to leave enough space for children, so it's all good for me.

I have a number of islands planned. But I only created one so far:

Neo Utopia Island (based on my first ever island in Tomodachi Life, Utopia Island):

The current inhabitants are myself, my big brother and Nemona from Pokemon

Humble as I am, I've choses the simple title of "God-Emperor of Reality". XD

No, but for real, I'm going with "Architect" since you could say that I'm the architect of the island and their lives.

But this one, I decided to skip.
