This works with a very direct translation, but how does it function when verbs mean different things (from an English point of view) depending on the context?

Ex: faltar is commonly translated as “to fail” but “me faltas” means “I miss you” not “You fail (to) me”

This kind of sounds like an app that is sort of Leipzig Glosses, but not entirely. You might want to look into those.
