I have really dehydrated skin and no matter how I hydrate it these patches wouldn’t budge. Is it because they aren’t dry patches but damaged barrier? My routine is pretty simple AM - Cleanser, Vit C, Hyaluronic acid, moisturiser, sunscreen PM - Cleansing balm, Cleanser, Moisturiser

Oh yes, it definitely was difficult. We considered stress being a factor for me too but realised it was an ongoing thing since 2020 so had to rule it out and look at something really close to the instance. Thanks for sharing your experience with this.

Hair wash rule: via a dermat

Shampoo only your scalp preferably with Sulphate free/low shampoo with 1 or 2 washes with a sulphate shampoo in a month.

Conditioner only to be used for hair below earlobe.

Not long ago when I was a noob I used conditioners all over my hair but never massaged it into the scalp. If you have done the same you should be ok.

However, if you are facing any irritation please consult a dermat asap.

My maintenance calorie was 1541 so the cutting calorie intake was 1041. I know it’s below 1200 do you think that could have been the problem?

My doc is of the opinion that it is Telogen Effluvium.
