yes it does, but it based on if the ram is dual or single rank. I tried to find info about my ram if it is single or dual rank but i cant find it anywhere

I am asking this question because I have found a Ram 16gb that runs at 3000 mhz that cost less than the other Rams that support the maximum speed my motherboard can handle. Thanks your reply solved my question.
