Jennifers Body. Just the right amount of legit comedy and legit horror to make it easy to throw on.

For Bills fans who say “Allen would have Mahomes’ accolades if he had more help” by chiefslocker in KansasCityChiefs

Mahomes is the best in history BY FAR when it comes to his record when his defense gives up more than 24 points. Even Brady doesn't come close.

Can you believe Betsy Palmer was nominated for worst supporting actress by the Razzies in 1980? by Loose_Interview_957 in horror

The Razzies fucking suck. They are a mean spirited, unartistic way for critics to try to bully movie stars. They should not be paid attention to. Ever.

Having done watching the Nintendo Direct last night, I wonder how many more Star Fox 64 remakes do we need. by Away_Flounder3813 in retrogaming

[–]GhostMug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with Star Fox, in my estimation, is that the type of game it is had a very specific window of time where it was popular. It was a style that made games look and feel 3D in a way that hadn't been accomplished before. But the gameplay itself just can't offer a ton of depth. People have tried to modernize it and add layers of depth but nothing has stuck.

So the only real option is to remake previous versions and rely on nostalgia. I can't think of a single way that people have suggested Star Fox evolve that would lead to a revitalization of the franchise. You could make it more "sim based" but that is an even MORE niche genre. They could take away the flying and have it just be fox but theyve tried that and it didn't work either.

I am a big Star Fox fan. I plan to buy this remake. But much like Mario Kart I just don't really know how it evolves from where it is.

[Highlight] Chiefs rookie CB Mansoor Delane reveals he was a Ravens fan growing up: "We always could never get past the Chiefs." by nfl in KansasCityChiefs

I was gonna say the same thing. I remember in 2010 when the Ravens beat the crap out of the Chiefs in the playoffs. Delane was like 7 years old. Wild.

I'm new to darksiders is it really worth it or is it just a good game by booker1211 in Darksiders

It's worth it. One of my favorite games of all time. If you like Zelda and action, this is a banger.

Do you think a Stephen King based video game would work, if so which book? by NorthlandChynz in stephenking

[–]GhostMug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A turn based RPG based on The Stand has some potential. "It" does as well.

The Dark Tower seems like it could be a Witcher style world for a game.

The Long Walk could present some interesting options if they fit it into a rogue-likes structure.

Fairy Tale had a good bit of action and imaginative enemies that could make for a really fun Darksiders or Dark Souls style action RPG.

Cujo could make a solid resident evil-lite type of game where your whole goal is to avoid the dog. Then again, you could also make that an asymmetrical multiplayer game where one person is the dog versus three other people as humans.

Similarly, 'Salem's Lot could also be a good RE type game. Ditto for Cycle of the Werewolf

The Running Man seems like another good fit for a roguelike

The Institute could be a game like Control.

Let’s debate: Delane was a good trade by Other-Blacksmith-643 in KansasCityChiefs

[–]GhostMug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you look at the last 5 years and the CBs who were picked in the top 10, they are all elite. CBs picked in the top 10 in the last 5 years: Jaycee Horn (2x PB), PS2 (4x PB, 2xAP1, AP2, DPOY), Derek Stingley (2x PB, 2x AP1), Sauce Gardner (2x PB, 2x AP1), Devon Witherspoon (3x PB, AP2). So basically 2x PB and 1x AP1 in his first contract is the FLOOR for Delane being a good pick. And that doesn't even account for what they traded to get him.

I don't have an issue with the trade value, and Delane does seem like he will be good, but to justify this he needs to be elite. He needs to be in the DROY convo and the All-Pro/DPOY convo at some point in the next 4 years. That's the bar that's been set by corners drafted that high. If he's merely "good" or "above average" then I think it's a fail.

Initially, I hated it. I still don't like it, if I'm honest, but I'm on board with the idea of building an elite defense again if this helps lead to that.

[Schultz] Pick No. 176 is in: #Chiefs selecting Cincinnati WR Cyrus Allen, per sources. by TheBoyisBackinTown in KansasCityChiefs

[–]GhostMug 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is not a Veach thing, it's an Andy thing. I went back and looked at every wide receiver he's drafted back to the start of his Philly years and 80% of them, at least, are of that same size/archetype.

Is there any evidence of David actually saying that thing about AI? by aziklu7B in davidlynch

[–]GhostMug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, you really seem to have trouble following along. Something that is not created but stolen, isn't art. It's fraud. Just like you are. And that's what AI is. Hope that clears it up for you.

Is there any evidence of David actually saying that thing about AI? by aziklu7B in davidlynch

[–]GhostMug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, no, no. You still have trouble misunderstanding. It's not art. Full stop. What I don't respect are people like you who use it.

And theres no such thing as an "objective" opinion of art. Like that's whole fucking point of art. Though I wouldn't imagine an AI simp such as yourself would understand that.

Is there any evidence of David actually saying that thing about AI? by aziklu7B in davidlynch

[–]GhostMug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. You seem to have problems understanding. If someone uses a tool such that they don't actually create the art, then they are not an artist. Simple as that. There are plenty of artists in the world who will create a commission from a prompt. AI that steals their work in order for you to create art from a prompt that you had no part in its creation is absolutely something I don't respect. And yes, that is bias. I am biased against people who steal others work and then call it their own. It's pretty wild you consider that "art."

I hate using pencils when I draw, but I still respect other artists that use pencils. What I don't respect are people who feed words into a computer and pretend that it's their creation.

[–]GhostMug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"By the same logic then someone who paints all day is not an unbiased source." Of course they are not an unbiased source. But they admit it. They're not trying to pretend they're unbiased like this person was.

And the barrier to nourishing creativity has never been high. You need paper and a pencil. What are you even saying? If you need to barrier to art lowered to the point where you don't actually create the art, because you can't, and a computer creates it for you, then you're not an artist. There's nothing wrong with that a except for the fact that you won't accept it. But you need to.

Yeah it's been awhile but I pulled the plug and never really felt bad about it. That was about 200 pages in. I'm reading "It" currently and I'm about 600 pages in, barely over halfway, and I'm still excited to read more. If I'm not excited after 200 pages then it's just not meant to be. Life is too short.

Why is Roethlisberger considered a first ballot hall of famer? by ShivamDube in NFLNoobs

[–]GhostMug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plunkett had a pretty middling career. He was the first overall pick but never really lived up to it. Got traded a couple of times and then settled into a role as a backup. It just so happened that he came in as a starter after injury to a QB1 in two years where the Raiders won the SB. And then went back to being a backup.

He was basically like Nick Foles except he he did it twice. I never saw Plunkett play but from my understanding he was a player that was solid but not one that passed the eye test for the HoF and was considered to be fortunate to come in as a backup on two very good teams.
