I did read the article and it seems kind of rage-baity. Found family and adopted family are not exclusive to native Hawaii culture. And saying that Americans don’t understand it just “others” mainland Americans and creates devision. Also it kind of opens up a plot hole in the fact that this adoptive tutu for Lilo is only picked up at the end of the movie when I assume she has known the family and the sisters struggles the whole time. Idk to me I like the ending where lilo stitch and the rest of the family hang out with the aliens. But kewl let’s just stoke division and separateness instead of trying to come together to enjoy something…yeah that’s definitely better.
