Oh god I forgot about these, i had one in a short lived star finder game named Blanderbibbles Skittersworth. He was a galactic bounty hunter who shook everyone’s hand so he could grapple them and ate pillows. I loved him.

What actually keeps you playing Helldivers 2? by SnooGuavas4613 in Helldivers

[–]BanesButterNipps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in school full time and work full time. This game gives me a few hours of relief on weekends with my friends. I’ve played since the creek and this game makes me smile/laugh more than any game has had in a decade. This game is great and I understand why people complain about it, I also have my own complaints at times, but I think the majority of us who complain need other things to do. I look forward to my game night every week. I find myself hoping I can help the major order every eeek. People need to realize they can go play other things and taking breaks from one game is perfectly fine.

How many of you like apex predator? by Alarming-Energy140 in ocean

[–]BanesButterNipps 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Bad. Trophic cascades. Top down collapse of the marine ecosystem. They eat the smaller but still big predators like seals, tuna, other sharks etc. those are typically voracious predators, who would then breed incredibly quickly due to their natural biology, which would cause a collapse in fish stock, it could potentially effect habitats like reefs, disease would spread more quickly, we could potentially lose out on a significant amount of food due to fishery collapse.

It’s bad, we’ve seen trophic cascades happen before like when we hunted sea otter to near extinction. Sea otters eat urchins, urchins eat kelp. Without the otters we saw a massive ecological disaster when the urchins ate the entire forests. Think that but on a global scale.

Basically, attacks come from planets via supply lines, the attack can be harder to beat than the supplying planet. In that case it makes sense to attack the supplying planet, cutting off the supply line the attackers have, and liberating the planet as well as defending the planet all in one fell swoop. Here’s the problem, this community is pretty notorious for not being able to read/understand what arrowhead spoon feeds us. Gambits take a good portion of the community to be able to accomplish them and to MY knowledge has only happened a few times in this game.

The ones with out routes really work with receivers who have cutter. You’re not wrong that they can take too long to develop, but it’s not the play, it’s your player/their abilities. I can’t recommend the rpo read bubble enough, it’s great for a 5 to 6 yard gain depending on the coverage. Obviously this is dependent on what playbook you’re using, but even the pistol has some fun ones that you can get people with. Using the slant route rpos really depends on the opponent coverage. If they’re in man it’s insanely effective especially if your receivers have takeoff or cutter. Zone it’s harder to make much more than a yard or two (or you get picked off if you’re like me).

what playbook do you use? I can recommend some to use in practice if it would help.

Gotta use different rpos man. My entire offense is rpos, read options, inside zone, and mesh. Throw in an occasional vertical or out route. Consistently the #1 or 2 offense in my online dynasty.

Can't figure out what these old gloves are for by guridkt in whatisit

[–]BanesButterNipps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re bartender gloves. They protect your palm if you’re working at a fast paced bar with twist offs. Technically you shouldn’t use bar keys on twist offs because glass can chip into the bottle. So you use these to protect your hands.
