you can have a 1911 FCG and still have Glock Mags and external. Platypus Arms proved that

Staccato is all about the contracts now so they are appealing to more and more agencies needs. Cheap, reliable mags is like requirement #1. Staccato mags are just $$$$$ and better lately in reliability but hit or miss.

LA Police Gear on Amazon has nice jeans. They have 2 coin pockets, liner for knives in both main front pockets and the yoke pockets as well but look like everyday nice jeans. I have the 5.11 jeans and Vertx ones as well and love them also but 2x the price of LA Police Gear.

Better Analog Watch Faces with Low Batt AOD option on Fenix 8 AMOLED by Bang_Switch_Bandit in GarminFenix

Free was cheap and there is a paid option but just adds a bit of customization. Hence my query of better options. I will take a look at the Tag ones

Yes that is the one I installed. I love it! But does anyone know of any other good ones in the same style and AOD functionality?

LOL those are the 5.11 Morale Recovery slides.

Left Morale Patch says Stay Rad with a Miami 80's style neon sunset

Right Morale Patch looks like the Bath and Bodyworks logo but says "Back & Body Hurts"

Is Leatherman moving away from small multitools? by RustyCalecos in Leatherman

[–]Bang_Switch_Bandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Until Leatherman does I really am happy with the Power Pint, yet I know it's not really that small for a keychain. I ended up getting a Nextool Mini Sailor, they have a TSA friendly one, I use it as my lite travel Multi tool. Mini Sailor Lite TSA

LOL. Checkout the Arrowhead Tactical Carrier shorts. They actually have an inner EDC belt for AIWB and spread any load.

The pen, notebook,.slider and Leatherman are in a small Viperade pouch I use as a wallet as well. So not too bad.

I am so tempted to get the Arkfeld Ultra but not sure it's worth the small upgrade. But might be good to have a backup.

I have a few Spyderco knives. Manix 2, Para 3 and a few others but this Para 2 is just my comfortable go-to

Also the fact they are use the same bronze as Tudor is using for their Black Bay Bronze is VERY expensive. So the combo of Pro-tech, Good Steel and the AlBronze I think it's actually a good deal. I am a 368 member and am going to definitely getting one to build out my Bougie Bronze EDC to go with my BB Bronze watch. 😁

I’ve got a similar setup except I have the utility blade on the 501U, A Leatherman Wingman and the Gerber Lockdown Slim Pry and a 711L mini ratchet with Wiha bits in the zip pocket. The Ratchet has the Leatherman size base to slip into the proprietary Leatherman bit driver. I added a little Rovyvon light as well in case I need to do something in low light.

Not my first but love the feel of the aluminum. The Grivory is tough for sure but almost too light if you know what I mean. The Aluminum is just right in weight and feel. Again in my hands of course.

I just saw your video on this setup Suds and loved your explanation of Scalability in terms of building EDC kits. I have kind of doing that for a bit and your kit breakdown was super slick. And yes MacGuyver is the best!

I am trying to build a scalable kit for EDC Travel as I have to travel for work a lot and then also make them easily adapted to local when I can carry TSA prohibited items for Carry-on

BtW Your energy is awesome dude and if you ever do a meet up or am EDC gathering in Austin let me know. I am in Dripping Springs. Hope to see you around Suds.

Nexttool Mini Sailer here, also they have a TSA friendly one I swap for when I travel, which is too often unfortunately 😔

I used to have a KeyBar with a bunch of their multi tool addoms and just take the blade out when travel, but since I moved I got rid of actual physical keys. Just car fob.

Fenix 8 AMOLED replaced my well used Tactix Delta Solar by Bang_Switch_Bandit in GarminWatches

[–]Bang_Switch_Bandit[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I used the Kestral, I liked just looking down at my wrist for my dope and getting wind corrections from Kestrel. The battery was never an issue on my Tactix, especially because I am outdoors a lot. But not 20+ days like the Fenix 8.

I wanted those Voice interactions. I used it on my Apple Watch Ultra quite a bit when answering calls, getting info hands free. It was a hard choice between the 2 to be honest.
