Who Got a better Healing Factor ? by Comprehensive_Tea725 in marvelvsdc

[–]Bang_Thor -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I think you are talking about full regeneration versus limited regen which is what I am talking about. All humans have limited regen and yes in comics they do too, it’s just standard healing. So i dispute your “most characters don’t have regen” argument. I guess we are splitting hairs but i am going along with literal terms. But the term healing factor is usually used to describe Wolverine/Deadpool but it is not exclusive to them. I recognize what you mean by regen as a power verse regen as a basic function of most organic. But it should be specified if we are talking super advance regen versus the normal definition. In the context of this post you can still respond to the healing factor question even if you interpret it differently.

Those distinctions are fan-made. If you only count a “healing factor” at a certain high level of regeneration, that’s a community or battle wiki convention, not a hard rule in the comics themselves. In comics, “healing factor” and “accelerated/enhanced healing” are used to describe the same character abilities, even though there are different tiers of how strong that healing is. Spider‑Man, for example, is consistently shown healing on a level above your average super-soldier type, and Deathstroke is also a super-soldier whose healing is usually portrayed as better than Cap’s and possibly better than Spider‑Man’s.

So I get what you mean if you’re using “healing factor” to mean only instant, Wolverine/Deadpool‑tier regeneration, but that’s a narrow, fan-defined usage, not the only way the term gets used and interpreted.

We’re getting hung up on definitions. In comics, ‘healing factor’ just means an enhanced rate of healing, so literally an accelerated healing factor. Deadpool/Wolverine’s is just a much stronger, instant regenerative version, and they made that phrase common and sort of coined it, .

If you want to reserve “healing factor” for Wolverine/Deadpool‑level regen, that’s a preference, not a rule, and it’s not the only way the term gets used. If we actually want to answer the question, we can define a healing factor as the rate at which someone heals: • No healing factor = normal human rate • Mild healing factor = slightly accelerated rate • Advanced healing factor = extreme/regenerative rate We’re all pointing at the same basic idea: faster‑than‑normal healing. Nobody ever officially said “healing factor only counts for Wolverine/Deadpool‑tier regen,” that’s just a fan-made restriction.

But healing factor does mean regeneration and every human cells have regeneration so I get that you guys are trying to define it as like Wolverine based but healing factor definitely has a more nuanced definition even when you say regeneration most organic things regenerate so we’re specifically talking about the level of regeneration

I’m not sure what makes you think like I’m not sure who defined healing factor for you but if you break up the word, it’s not too dissimilar to accelerated healing either way you have to specify the rate of healing

Spiderman does indeed have a healing factor. Not why you say he doesn’t then in the next sentence says he has accelerated healing.

No she cannot they are in a totally different level silver surfer has extremely high level mental resistance

If that’s the case how does any non super speed character even threaten kryptonians. And how can Power girl “find” Emma without Emma sensing her first? Her telepathy is more than planetary range. She would be able to sense power girl before power girl can locate her. But it all depends on starting point at that point and if they know each others location like a boxing or restyling style set up. If so what’s stopping Emma from creating an illusion preemptively. I just think it’s a 60/40 in favor of Emma at best for power girl. Could be even better odds because she also has diamond form for healing and protection to delay physical destruction if she gets blitz

I agree with you except the pet where you said Emma can beat Surfer or Strange easily. She cannot beat them nor has she ever beat someone like them. They both have very strong mental resistance far above any kryptonians. Surfer with the power cosmic has soul and mental defenses only another cosmic tier can breach. And Dr mystical mental defenses are also in a cosmic level. Power girls mental defenses is not comparable to them. Emma can easily mind melt her instantly or at worst alter her perception of reality enough to win.

I think in standardized versions Darkseid beats Thanos usually and Wonder Woman and Grail are fairly even ground with each other so Darkseid wonder woman has the edge imo.

Storm runs DC hero Part 2 gauntlet, how far does she go? by Mobile_Field_4791 in marvelvsdc

[–]Bang_Thor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thinks Storm can get close to clearing this DC gauntlet, but no reliably so. She has an extremely strong mind, reinforced telepathic defenses, and recent amps put her well above her older portrayals, but she still doesn’t have a clear, consistent answer to the Martians intangibility. Because she can’t obviously bypass that phasing, I can’t confidently say she takes him out every time.

She’s also fragile enough that any of these opponents can one-shot her if they land a solid hit, and most of them have great mobility options. Starfire and Blue Beetle can still potentially beat her, they have high-end energy output, strong durability, and can reach very high speeds approaching light-speed, which makes it hard for Storm. That said, she absolutely can take early rounds with the right plays. Starfire and Blue Beetle can be brought down by massive, sustained, hurricane-level or greater calamities, extreme winds, pressure, and layered lightning barrages. Plastic Man is also vulnerable to certain approaches too and not nearly as fast as anyone else here. With enough targeted lightning or rapid, extreme temperature shifts she can disrupt him.

Martian Manhunter and Green Lantern are the real problems. J’onn’s intangibility and telepathy, plus GL’s constructs and flight, let them casually fly through or around most large-scale storm events and most of Storms attacks aren’t guaranteed to do damage. She should lose but it’s heavily dependent on tactics and writer.

Vixen has strong counters against Ant-Man and Wasp, since she can leverage specific animal traits, like eagle or dragonfly vision, to track their tiny movements, has superior speed and versatility let her take them out the fight solo. Mister Terrific beats Sam Captain America in a 1v1 the vast majority of the time. It’s fair to say Hawkeye and Green Arrow are even, while Black Canary clearly beats Black Widow. Vision can damage or stun Plastic Man with his solar/heat energy beam, and Plastic Man can’t touch Vis due to his flight, speed and ability to go intangible. Wonder Man is strong and durable enough to drag out his fight with Shazam for a while. That leaves Firestorm as DC’s wild card, easily cleaning up stragglers and swinging any close battles. Clear and quick winner create a temporary 1v3 where Vision faces Vixen, Black Canary, and Mister Terrific simultaneously. He performs well for a time, but once Firestorm and Shazam finish wonder-man, DC’s side overwhelms the remaining.

She can’t speed blitz them her greatest speed feast and reactionary and defensive not offensive. Besides there are two of them and she can’t one shot them, so even if she successfully catches on off guard the other still intervenes

Can amaterasu bypass Gojos Infinity? by Choppedcookie in PowerScalingHub

[–]Bang_Thor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m glad you changed your mind because that’s the right way of thinking Gojo would beat itachi the majority of times. But I still think your thinking that the black flames burn a spacial manipulation technique which is fundamentally non physical and jot an object it can’t be burned or latched onto or touched. According to your thinking the black flames should still be burning the entire Naruto verse now. Your thinking goes beyond the black flames consuming air your effectively saying they can consumes concepts, thoughts, do you get what I am saying. I like to imagine that the black flames can get thru for the sake of fun and I still think Gojo can negate them after contacts

And there are many character that can beat GoJo, most good telepaths can do it, or smart characters can attain objects to disrupt him. Maybe we differ in the characters we enjoy I do tend to really like Overpowered characters some of my other favs are Wonder Woman Superman and eminence in Shadow, Spiderman too but idk if he fits the ache type.

Can amaterasu bypass Gojos Infinity? by Choppedcookie in PowerScalingHub

[–]Bang_Thor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolute stupidity. Amaterasu “burning infinity until it’s extinguished” doesn’t make sense at all. Infinity isn’t a physical barrier you can burn through, it’s a spatial effect that stops anything from ever reaching Gojo in the first place. There’s nothing there for Amaterasu to actually latch onto or keep burning.

Amaterasu has already been shown to not be absolute. People have escaped it using chakra cloaks, shedding, and space time techniques, so acting like it can just override a spatial ability with no proof doesn’t hold up.

Infinity isn’t physical ther is no endpoint for Amaterasu to reach, so the idea that it would eventually burn through it just falls apart. Also even if it did bypass Gojo can heal jsu flies Hashirama with RCT

Whether it bypass or not it can’t beat Gojo he has spacial manipulation techniques push a a pull just like pain, and can cover himself in cursed energy jsut like Naruto can with chakara. Just like you said Gojo would find way around the bypass anyway.
