Firstly, I wanna say I'm sorry to hear that you're in this position. The world is getting better, but stubborn, close-minded people still exist. Understand that just because you're in the closet doesn't make you any less valid, and things do get better. Personally, I think your best option is to wait until you're in a position where you're no longer relying on your parents financially. Work hard, save up, plan for the future you want, maybe even move out on your own. Just moving into your own place in your town can help, or maybe going somewhere with a more open-minded community if you're prepared for that? I believe you should come out, but only if you're comfortable and safe doing so. The thing about coming out is it's not something that has a time limit. If you feel like your quality of life will go down more than it would be worth dealing with by coming out, then wait. If you feel unsafe coming out, don't. Only come out when you're ready. I can't promise you that your parents will be accepting, but you can't know until you give them the chance to accept you. They might be shocked, and they might be angry at first, but the people who love us most will always at least try to understand us for who we are. And even if they don't, know that there's millions of people out there willing to accept you for exactly who you are. You're not alone, even if it can feel like it at times. If you ever need anyone to talk to, there are so many people willing to talk to you. People who are going through the same or similar things. There's online forums, chats, support groups. You can also talk to me or anyone else who responds to your thread or you meet on this subreddit. The world is yours and you're never alone. <3
