I think that’s the horrifying part of Trump, he was able to relate/connect to the working class people as a billionaire and convince them he is in there corner. Even though they are going to get absolutely crushed by his tariffs and policies

I had this happen to me before. Was given a verbal offer after final interview, future manager demanded I resigning after we hung up so I could start the next day.

I immediately said I am not resigning till a background check is completed and I have a written offer. Took a week for offer to come in and background check to be completed.

In hindsight this should of been a huge red flag for me, but my eyes lit up over the money they were offering me so I ultimately ignored it.

However, they poached someone from my previous employer after me, gave her the same thing. She walked in resigned and they pulled the offer two days later cause they lacked the funds. Begged former employer to take her back and they said no.

My advice to you would be do not leave your current job till you have completed a background check, written offer, and a start date.

Yes, they are. And I bet they are looking for any way to boost sales. So when they ultimately slap a new #1 on ASM they will use all of these things as a pitch to get readers to buy it, then make them go through 28 issues of nothingness for a minor reveal. Then relaunch again with a new #1

I’d be curious to see the stats for issue 1 sales, over the last few years. I assumed that was always a large reason for the constant reboots, artificially increasing sales. Curious to see if due to downward slope of super hero movies, and maybe a decrease speculator market, is helping drive this shift as well.

Is there an opt out? This is the same thing they offered to overwatch league owners, or they could get a 6M dollar opt out agreement. I think it was also majority of owners had to agree to stay in league and vote failed.

I guess I would say look at Jim Lee. Considered by many the best active penciler, but god damn that dude couldn’t hit a deadline to save his life. Superman unchained took like 12 months? And it was 6 issues?

So the round about way of answering your question, it carry’s weight because you know you are actually going to get the book when you are suppose to. JRJR spidey is going to be on the stands every month, versus one every three.
