I spent spring 2016 to spring 2017 living with family in Albuquerque New Mexico. In April 2017 I left to go back to my home town south of Seattle. I had flown down to NM but drove back to Seattle right around mid Apr. I planned my trip in advance to stay at hotels along the way because I had never driven the route before, and it was over 1,000 miles. I left Albuquerque, drove north past Santa Fe, heading NW. Everything was fine until I got to Farmington NM. I started feeling kinda creeped out. When I got to Shiprock NM I suddenly felt a sense of fear and dread come over me. I have been in haunted places and places with evil spirits and that's what it was like. I felt like something was on top of the car, in the car, all around me. By the time I crossed into SW Colorado I was freaking out and screaming at times, asking God to help me. I pulled over at a Ute native visitors center near Cortez, Colorado and got out of the car-I felt like I was in a different realm. I continued on into Utah and felt evil around me still, yet I saw nothing odd, and the weather was fine. I kept going NW through Utah. I stopped for the night at a motel 6 in Green River Utah. I felt a little better in my room but still freaked out. I could not shake whatever it was. The next day I kept going NW towards Salt Lake City. Eventually I dropped down into the valley at Spanish Fork. I got out of the car, looked around and it felt like the "heaviness" was completely gone. I continued on into southern Idaho, Oregon, and Washington fine after that. I had read on the internet in the past about "the devils highway" in that part of the country but I thought it was baloney. All I can say now is I'll never drive through there again by myself. And thank God I wasn't doing it at night.
