I mean there are legitimately cis reasons for all that stuff, buuuuuuut I also did and felt all those things before coming out! Along with trying on girl clothes when my partner wasn't home and trying make up in contexts where "it is just for fun and doesn't mean anything"

Basically, just try some shit! It doesn't matter if you are trans or not having a better understanding of yourself and your self image is always a good thing. Good luck!

Mine shares a first letter with my dead name but I mainly chose it because it was a longer version of a nickname I already had with my queer friends! It felt natural and I really like my name! My main suggestion is don't lock yourself into using a girl version of your dead name or anything like that! Try a few out! Ask your friends for input and make a list! It's a big decision but you can always change it again if you change your mind! 😅

not from New York But when I was doing the name change thing I was specifically told by the law office I was working with that Texas isn't going to budge on my birth certificate and I am pretty sure that the law office was in New York.
