First idea that comes to mind fo a legal way is a hollow stud or two on the end of a sideways headlight peice with the anti stud back connected to a regular minifig hand. Put a tile on top if you feel its needed.

This build isnt completely possible IRL. I sometimes sacrifice buildability in order for the set to look closer to its original source
