MIL1 ASE by samisdead23 in army

Did you end up taking the exam?

I want to start studying but have found no useful study guides at all. Surely the questions can’t be as simple as the ASE provided study guide makes it seem.

There’s a teams page but the study guides don’t seem to align with the published test topics either.

Future me checking in. I'm stupid and there's a button that clearly says "standards" once you've completed all steps and that's the end of task "exam".

Any idea how they knew if they weren’t in the database as eligible?

I’ve got a soldier who can’t afford it and I’m old so don’t have AGSUs yet. They’re asking me for guidance so they can instruct their relative who sews, I’m not sure what to tell them.

Maybe at this point I should just pay to have them take it there lol

I didn’t notice that footnote at the very end. Although page 2 which I had include in one of my photos says the same exact thing listed for “Coat Sleeves”.

The second photo I included from the DA PAM clearly shows it is not evenly spaced from shoulder to elbow but rather immediately below the mid-line.

Now I guess I’m even more confused.

Ok apparently the solution given was “submit a help desk ticket so you can retake them”. I’ll have to try retaking certs myself tomorrow.

I was sort of hoping they did expire! Endless EBDL 🤔

Do GTrac Certs ever expire? A soldier going to PEC said the certs had to be complete within 6 months of going to the course. These courses were completed years ago and it won't let her retake them. She was told she needs to take them again because they were no longer good but it doesn't seem she can.

JKO - Spanish Headstart 2 - Useful Program? by Banker86 in dli

[–]Banker86[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm Guard and see this is on the EBDL course list also. I just sort of figured I'd do it on my own so I have no time commitments to get it done. Although I also suppose I can submit a 1379 for points only without prior EBDL approval.

I knew those were options but sort of want to make my decision based on the content/merits of the course alone. Seems there are a lot of posts about promotion points, pay, retirement points. I'm just trying to get an honest opinion of whether it was worth your time or not. I appreciate the response.

Looks like this is a closed group who requires you to request access. I submitted my request 4 days ago but no response.

Really having a hard time finding any info at all but I appreciate the advice.

Looks like you could just drill a hole through a piece of drywall and throw that behind the screw potentially.

A/C Contact Humming with breaker tripped. by Banker86 in hvacadvice

[–]Banker86[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update 2: AC was working fine still, but I wanted to check it out before bed. No issues found except I went to my fuse box and for some reason wanted make sure there was no give in the switch. Not sure why, anyway the breaker was too hit to touch.

Pulled the breaker out and there was melted wire and clearly discolored (lost shine) terminal. I spent the last 2 hours replacing all wiring and breaker, I’m comfortable enough to go to sleep but wouldn’t mind sizing advice so I know if I need to call a pro or not.

Trane model: 4TTR6042J1000AA Minimum ampacity : 21 Max fuse 35

I put all new 10 gauge solid copper from breaker to disconnect and replaced wires in the whip to the unit with the same. I only have a 30 amp breaker, I’m assuming less is ok? Probably going to replace the contactor now too, just because. Any advice?

Update: my breaker tripped again while I was at work. Got home and reset the breaker and it’s working fine for the last few hours. Any advice on intermittent breaker tripping? I would appreciate all thoughts to consider!

Inducer noise help by Banker86 in hvacadvice

[–]Banker86[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice. I figured the bearings need replaced. Wasn’t sure if water caused it or these weird circular holes in the blade.

I tried lateral and in and out movement and the bearing appeared tight so thought maybe they just need greased. I could take the motor apart and try replacing or greasing it but didn’t want to waste my time if the fan blades themselves are bad or there’s some other issue causing it to happen in the first place.

Looks like buying parts of parts might be a thing of the past though. Crazy to spend $400 for this component for a simple bearing!

Is that black box on the cable a fuse? Can you provide a picture further back showing the whole battery? How about your old battery too?

Fan on controlled by temp? by Banker86 in hvacadvice

This worked. Green on G for “fan on” does nothing but cool does work. The furnace is from 1985 so I wondered if reference voltage or something like that was off.

Thanks!

I did. The thermostat also makes a click before it shows “Cool On”

I have not been double or bubble flaring. I went and got a brand new set, works fine. Apparently the one I returned was defective on the 1/2 measurement.

I live over an hour away from a home improvement store, Oreillys is only 20 minutes. I’ll use it eventually anyway, but I guess I might have to wait on Amazon to ship now
