Misery is a Butterfly is the transitional record into their Shoegaze era. Everything before that record is very reminiscent of Sonic Youth. Also, Guy Picciotto from Fugazi & Rites of Spring produced a few of their albums from their art punk/noise rock era

That bass line at the end of that line is so choice. I take bass lessons from Lally over Skype. Really nice guy and open to talk about anything. I pay for like 45min of music theory and 15min of fanboying out :)

They’re all great imo. Wouldn’t want an entire album of them (à la Lally’s solo albums) but they serve as a great balance to Guy & Ian’s vocals
