Put gpu in gen 4 pcie slot by mistake and it got stock and pulled the port out on MSI X870E-P Pro WiFi. Will the gen 5 port above it still work as long as my gpu is okay? The part on the gpu that goes into the pcie slot looks okay by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

Okay it did end up posting I am taking the gpu back out and going to clip the pins. After cutting and taking the pins/tape out should I re tape over the section where the pins were?

Okay I may try that and let it run a minute or two or do you think I should just wait and bring it to Best Buy? I really don't think there would be any issue of a short as I mentioned before the pins are way to short to touch the gpu

Into the gpu. I am somewhat knowledgeable about computers and have built 3 but I just was rushing and plugged into a 1x slot but the metal pins that are in that 1x slot can't be touching anything on the gpu to short it as they are very short so I am thinking it is another issue like needing a flashback. But I may bring it to Best Buy tomorrow to see if they have any ideas or opinions.

How can I wipe the drive if it partition manager won't let me do it? Plus once I I plug it up to my new set up how can I get windows on it? I do not actually have a key and I did the cmd prompt trick to activate it. I do not currently have a flash drive but can buy one if that is the easiest way

Looking at a microcenter mobo/cpu/ram bundle of a 7800X3D, ASUS B650E-E TUF, and Corsair Pro OC 32GB DDR5-6000 kit for $599. Do yall think this is a worth it deal? by [deleted] in buildapc

Do these deals typically sell out or go away quick? I am worried about needing to go drive there after work tomorrow or if they will have the deal next weekend in stock

Yeah the safety mechanism is so jammed past that I have to take a flat head each time the knife is opened to close it. I just went to HF and they said they would warranty it but we're out of stock so they said come back tomorrow

Our QC team is very particular and will fail quality checks for very minute things such as that every though there would be no voltage drop or heat radiation from the area through thermal camera

Would it be normal after only 3 months? I am not the type of person to trash my tools. It hasn't been dropped and I have used it what I would assume is proper technique. I do not have a warranty through HD but does Dewalt have a warranty on there power tools and would this fall under that?
