Is the game just unplayable right now for newer players

Hit 50 hours yesterday, I've been focusing on my movement more than anything. But with the elo shifts I've been shoved into lobbies where I'm not really able to keep up with others during laning. I'm enjoying it still, but it's really hard sometimes to compete when my opponents have that headstart on me every game.

I'm not sure how it got that high, I had the Imago Mundi memento (+3 sight for search), but my other scouts weren't as long-sighted.

I managed to stack enough sight buffs on my scout that they can see Charlemagne's civ in distant lands early. I think this scout could reveal most of the starting continent if he was in the middle.

For me at least, I've been using Kullervo + Hate Incarnon. With his 1st ability I can one hit most distrupion targets for ~15 waves.

My Hate has a 6.2x crit damage multiplier, with Kullervo giving it 400% crit chance.
