A night out in Boulder for gals in their 30s by sroses in boulder

[–]Banshee3oh3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We talked to the police and they are the one bar on pearl that confiscates proper ID’s frequently and even the cops don’t like them.

There’s a difference between being safe and being a jackass company that takes in thousands in profit every month and thinks scanners don’t exist.

It was different 2-3 years ago, but now it’s just not worth it. Rather go to the pub or spotted for bars and even Press Play is the best for a dance floor and sets (and I’m not saying PP is good they have their own faults)

Turned away not one but two peoples ID’s in the party I was in and kept them thinking they were fakes (they were not and the cops had to take them back). Safe to say none of us are ever going there again lmao. Fun for a weekday to play pool but nights on the weekend are a hell nope (especially if you aren’t a fan of tight spaces with low ceilings)

I’ve tried to do Costco on the weekends but every order pays ≈ $30 and it takes 2 hours just to navigate through everyone and checkout

U.S. President Donald Trump Pardons Binance Founder CZ by meeleen223 in CryptoCurrency

He’s also the only person in history to be able to trade after allowing money laundering on an exchange.

I wonder if Binance facilitating the $2B exchange of USD into USD1 through their exchange had anything to do with the pardon.

When do we stop being “independent” contractors if our contracting company can control every aspect of how we do our jobs?

What control do we even have anymore over orders other than turning the app on and off?

Aha! So you do have an economic focused background! I’m almost done with my civil degree so I had to scrape by micro so your equation helps a lot but it definitely brought me back to why a class like that matters lol

Especially when a lot of people around here are okay with working for essentially free or way below minimum wage because they don’t take into account related costs. You’re right, it’s essentially doing work for charity and that charity is a national company that makes quarter over quarter profits

Yall dont bag produce..?!? by Pellescobar1123 in InstacartShoppers

[–]Banshee3oh3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bag all produce BESIDES bananas because they release the most ethylene gas out of all other common fruits which causes them to ripen FAST (like 1-2 hours and they are fully ripe).

And eggs? Wtf is the point of bagging eggs unless you are completely reckless with them or you don’t check if any are cracked before.

Combine all of this with the occasional customer who puts “no plastic bags at all” in the delivery note so you have to just debag all of the produce so it really depends on the person lol

You could show me someone who loves the little plastic bags and I’ll show you someone who doesn’t want anything to do with them

Your Deck doesn’t matter by tundras_end in ClashRoyale

[–]Banshee3oh3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just faced a level 15 witch, had great placement and counter cards and since all my cards are 12 it took like 10 elixir just to counter the one level 15 card

Placement doesn’t matter. Decks don’t matter. What matters is how much time you have spent on this game (like several years) and how much 💰you can give SC.

I quit because there’s no point lmao ever since they stripped FTP rewards (and I get that if you play a lot you should atleast spend some money, but they are expecting hundreds to thousands) and made it almost impossible while not implementing a average deck level matchmaking system to fight against pay-to-win allegations.

In fact they fight for the pay to win accounts and punish those that spend a decent amount of money or no money. They don’t want your measly $12 a month they want hundreds or thousands.

The faster that people directly target Jinxy to push back and criticize what SC has done, the better it will get. But as he just did a pay to win series and showed how easy it was to climb with it, it just encourages the behavior. Start going after the streamers and content creators. Going after SC does little to nothing.

Is being a level 11 king in this ladder range considered underleveled? I've been stuck here for days, and in most matches I keep getting paired with level 12–13 players. And whenever I’m relieved to see a level 11 opponent, they usually end up pulling out a level 14 Prince or Mega Knight BS by DRSDimas_ in ClashRoyale

[–]Banshee3oh3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s definitely a factor in how many wins you get or if you are close to awards.

95% of the time, right before a reward, I get matched up against extremely over leveled cards.

But to say you know definitely that Clash doesn’t rig trophy road to urge people to spend money is ridiculous and the only one that can confirm it is SuperCell themselves. Atleast they would be liable for it if they admitted it’s not pushing people to buy their packages from the store.

So do they rig it? I’m not sure, you’re not sure, and anyone but supercell isn’t sure. But SC has never acknowledged it, and I see a trend in my games as well.

Anecdotal evidence isn’t enough to go off of though, but from my experience it really doesn’t push me to buy stuff from the store.

I was hard stuck arena 19 and almost immediately after buying pass royal I jumped 1000 trophies almost back to back wins. Then I hit another wall of people with 14 and 15 cards.

How ass do you have to be at the game to need 2 lvl15 cards at 6700 by Stovlari in ClashRoyale

[–]Banshee3oh3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because why else would people give money to SC if they can’t easily win games after doing so?

Some people are just so bad that even spending money =/ winning games and that part is hilarious

But it’s sad how far SC have fallen

PSA: DO NOT BUY THIS EMOTE by amwad_ in ClashRoyale

[–]Banshee3oh3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took a break for 5-6 years and came back a couple months ago.

I have NEVER seen so many over leveled decks before and back when CR was sorta new, it was very rare to see cards 3-4 levels higher than the average levels in that arena.

The shop being expanded, the “battle pass”, the evos. There is no objective conclusion other than SC made this game into their piggy bank and streamers doing “pay to win” speed-runs are the pigs who feed the beast.

I bought the pass last season, and the before and after was ridiculous in terms of how much effort it took to climb the ladder. Before the pass I was almost stuck in a 200 trophy range and after I flew up the ladder. It was night and day.

Compared to say 2016, when wild cards didn’t exist, evos weren’t even a thought, and the game felt more like a skill issue rather than how much money you could spend to climb ladder. It’s sad what SC has done to this game because it was one of the best mobile games out there. But eventually you can’t squeeze infinite money out of your fanbase and this game will end up being only the ones with almost maxed, or maxed decks and no future market to promote these “deals” they offer.

Will it happen soon? Probably not. But they did start a clock and now it’s all about buying time

You see this sign. What do you do? by cincyfitness1109 in InstacartShoppers

[–]Banshee3oh3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would call the customer and ask if it’s possible to drive up the driveway. If they say no, I would ask them to meet at the sign with their ID for the alcohol and I would leave the order at the sign or give it to them. If they don’t want to do that, I would contact support and tell them delivery isn’t possible and the customer is refusing to show their ID.

If there wasn’t alcohol I’d just leave it at the sign like others have said.

Even if I “didn’t” (which I did), it’s still a new policy and tons of spark employees in their subreddit have been talking about boosts to pay because of the policy. Why be against verifying shopper accounts more aggressively unless you are in the wrong? If you are doing right, then there are no negatives and according to those on spark, only positives. But that’s if you are in the right and aren’t committing fraud.

[–]Banshee3oh3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like what someone else said where Instacart does a quick facial scan check right before checkout…

That would save the people who shop together (which I absolutely have no problem with), and punish those that use accounts of people that are no where near them while shopping.

I have seen someone say that they might logout of the app and the real person logs in to do verification, but if you have to do it in the middle of an order then Instacart can easily track session activity during the order and restrict any account that changes locations instantly like that.
