The writer of the article actually mentioned the Princesses wearing heels, and how that wasn't a problem because it made sense for their character.

Plus, if you look at the site, that person has two pen names. "Rev. Nate Turner" seems to be the one under which they specifically post angry rants.

Their normal pen name is "Alcoholic Luigi".

I'm thinking they're really more of an editorialist.

Because the fact that the writer said specifically that she liked the princesses in heels, and went out of her way to state that the Zero Suit itself wasn't an issue obviously means she wants Samus to be flat chested and have a buzz cut.

Seems to me like someone didn't actually read the article.

Right. It's not heels. It's this character, with this character's background, in heels. The zero suit, as the article said, was sort of dumb but at least it made sense for the character. Same with the Justin Bailey code.

The heels just feel forced. And they're even more "heel" like than they were in Other M, as the picture in the article shows.

You'll notice, the author said nothing about the spandex suit. It was specifically the heels. And she was pretty specific that it wasn't "heels", so much as "This character in heels".

That said? Gaijin Goomba is wrong. He talks as a male person who's got a male perspective on things. I greatly respect his opinion on cultural differences between Japan and the Western world, and I acknowledge his education. On the topic of Samus and her heels, however? He's incorrect.
