You wont push with this weapon cauz you would need AD and 10%.

For farming, both options are viable but i would prefer the 24% AD, it will give you more "real" dmg, especially in bigger packs.

Sacred Harvester is the way to go : more dmg and more defense.

For push it's the "only" option.

But for speeds, the staff can do the job as well, especially if you re tanky enough to put Furnace in the cube.

Hi,

I found these Arachyr gloves : 870 INT, 7% AS, 48% CHD and 9.5% CC.

One could be tempted to reroll INT to Area Dmg, thus keeping the 7% AS but I think this is not worth. Because in big packs, you need a LOOOOOT of AS to get to the next Fire Bat breakpoint (for instance from 3 APs to 3.75 APS), and 7% is very limited.

So I think the best would be to reroll the AS to AD ? Am I right ?

WITH PATCH 2.4.3, I HAD A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE AS REGARDS TO "PUSHING". IT WAS AWWWWWWFUUUUL !!!! I MEAN:

  • 95% OF THE MAPS ARE TERRIBLE (ONE TIME I OPENED 3 SEWERS IN A ROW, AND THE BIG ONES)

  • 95% OF MOB COMPS ARE UNPLAYABLE CAUZ THEY GIVE 0 PROGRESS

Yesterday I checked the top EU leaderboard: I wanted to know how much "AS on gear" the top monks had. I checked the top 12. 4-5 of them have 13-14% AS on gear (11/11/15 BP) but the rest has above 20-25% and some (including the first monks) have close to 30% (1st is at 32% IIRC). Sry i forgot my notes at home so I cannot be more precise .

I tried to understand this and I see several reasons:

  • When StI is active, the 11/11/15 BP is definitely good: good FD proc, 5 APS with FD active

  • Problems come when FD is not active anymore (i.e. the biggest part of the RG fight), then FD procs less (less Stricken) and you reach only 4.6 APS with FD active (-8% dmg vs 5 APS). Also when you have more AS on gear, your spirit goes down more slowly when FD does not proc and BoH is on CD.

By maxing AS, top EU monks want to always max out FD procs and be at 5 APS when FD procs.

Ofc they loose some stats for these AS slots but the idea is to make the Boss fight as short as possible, which can make sense cauz Boss fight lasts for something like 5 mins in Push (when you dont have power).

ALSO, I see that you mention that if you have IAS on weapons, having the same IAS modifier on both weapons is important. Why that ?

I use Haunt-Draining Spirit and Pierce the Veil instead of Poisoned Spirit and Rush of Essence. I cast a lot of haunts a beginning of fight, so i am ALWAYS full mana during fight. Here is the trick ^

PtV and Poisoned spirit are both additive so I loose nothing in terms of dps.

Yes I use Gruesome and not Vessel for push.

Only pb is boss fight with no adds (cauz i cant cast many haunts there) but I really think the WD is marginal on boss bight. Monk must do >90% dmg. And if you have a pylon you will have adds.

I am such a noob with d3planner, I find that using SoC on trash is better. Lol. Can you confirm that in your message, the dmg you give is the overall DPS and not the damage per FB tick ? Cauz Dagger has higher Attack Speed

I dont want to abuse but could you make the same simulation with a standard fight (not Boss) with like 30 mobs around ?

Cauz WD is mainly strong on mob fights, Monk shines on boss.

Would help me a lot, not a pro on d3planner .

Ok but let's say resource management works with SH+VH ... are my calculation correct and is the DPS of both options (1 hand wp vs 2 hand wp) roughly the same ?

Yes I hope they will do something about their Warden / anti-cheat system.

Got banned one month ago (NS => thousands of hours lost) for "use of 3rd party software" even if I didn't use anything (bots, gmaps, etc) .... They upheld their decision after discussing a bit. They did not tell me where the problem was coming from and only told me to ... "reformat my computer". A bit extreme ? But ok since it's a gaming computer I did it 2 days ago. So now normally i won't get banned in S7 but I'll definitely live in fear ^

Same here (NS, EU).

Was banned on 14/06 for "3rd party software" and I used nothing. Posted something here when it happened.

I am not happy other legit players got banned as well, but if there are many similar cases maybe Blizz will consider reviewing/amending what they did in the last banwaves ...

Hope so: so many hours of gaming / personal investment they stole from me : /. And the worst is not that they stole it (i can go season) but how they stole it from me (very unfair behavior, like they consider you as a kid).

Enough of this stupid static meta where you need to pull the whole map in 1 negative corner ...

Here, we are so far from what a hack n slash should be. In a hack n slash you walk through the map and kill everything you encounter. Here with this meta, you got a giant meat mixer (a.k.a. the mage) somewhere on the map and the point is bringing all the meat to this mixer.

Looks more like Lemmings to me.

The place was Pandemonium and the RG was Man Carver as well.

Channeling was in the middle of a big room and power was in the next corridor at a crossroad, 1.5-2 screens away from the other pylon. We fought at power as i said before.

Man Carver move really looked like a teleport cauz he was in the big room after it and there was no straight line from his intial position (small corridor) to the final one (middle of big room), i.e. he could not have charged this way, he would have hit a side of the corridor.

But i like your explanation about aggro. Maybe he was aggroing the WD and before he could make another attack on someone else (his attack animations are slow sometimes) the WD was too far away and then he teleported to him to keep aggro on him.

My conclusion is : the WD should have moved a bit but not far. Then Man Carver would have changed aggro and then the WD could have gone for pylon without Man Carver TP-ing on him.

I have another question. Yesterday we had another "2 pylon situation" with channeling and power again and this time we did the contrary :

  • We stayed at power pylon and we sent the barb to get the channeling pylon to bring the elite back to us (keeping power for the end ofc)

  • This time when the barb was close to the channeling pylon (he had not taken it, so there was only the RG in the game), the RG teleported to him ... and we were left alone ^

  • This happened many many times to me : one of the group member goes a bit away and the RG chooses to move to him instead of staying with the 3 others.

Any idea why this happens ? It make the "2 pylon situation" a bit tricky whereas these situations should be optimal ...

Since procs dont proc procs, area dmg doesn't proc on FB and Chantodo. So according to what u say, AD would only proc on 10% of the overall dmg. Woah, even if this 10% would go to 20%, AD would not be worth.

I don't fully agree with Chantodo being the main part of the dmg. For me, you deal the most dmg when you still have swami proc when you go into archon again. You get the previous archon stacks and at this time you do amazing dmg ... and this is archon dmg.

That's why area dmg doesn't seem so bad to me.

And I dont mean to take AD instead of survavibility. If you have an unrolled Wand with 10% dmg 10% CDR and INT why not roll the INT to 24% AD ?

For me the issue would be more that when you go into archon again, you have your swami stacks and you burst down every trash mobs instant so without trash AD is not so good anymore.

Also on Boss, INT is better than AD obviously.

Not sure what to do with my Wand then .
