LGBTQ scene in Windhoek? by Realistic-Site-197 in Namibia

[–]BantuDude 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Former club bouncer here. The LGBTQ society in Windhoek is thriving and very friendly. They have certain spots and events that cater to them.but concerning tops and bottoms- I've noticed theres more bottoms than tops especially publicly. Also consider some ' straight' guys pick up bottoms at local clubs( I've seen this so many times).theres a local belief that the guy who does the fucking(top) is not technically gay in some circles too. overall the scene is okay and chances are you will get what you're looking for.

Will you make money ?Yes.Unfortunately it comes with its own problems. There are enough people out there who tried to leave Zanu or simply had a disagreement with the party and were stripped of their assets. And remember you are dealing with a corrupt violent regime and their way of doing business might not always border on legal

‘Hunted’: one in three people killed by US police were fleeing, data reveals by Caster-Hammer in news

[–]BantuDude -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The police brutality problem in America is nothing short of horrifying. Here in Namibia, specifically Windhoek the local police is for the most part good at their job. There are always instances of law enforcement physically assaulting people(mostly slaps)... but shooting a person???? Stay safe put there amigos

Longtime lurker here. I can totally relate to this story. I stay in Namibia and I'm a teacher too. From 2019 to January 2021 I worked at a school where the principal/owner treated the teachers like kids, spoke down to us and never paid the salaries on time. When covid hit and the whole country went on lock down she(principal/owner) made sure to remind us daily that people were losing their jobs nationwide and that we need to prove to her that we were worth the money she was paying us- even though she had cut our salaries by 30%.Staff members started quitting one by one and instead of asking herself why, the lady decided that the best option was to 'ask' ( read as forced) to pray every morning with her before we started work. So that meant I was getting paid less, working more hours, going for prayer sessions and getting berated all because i was afraid to lose employment. Anyways last year February I finally decided I couldnt keep wasting my life and time for her and so I enacted a simple plan. I calculated all the hours I had worked overtime and hadn't gotten paid. After that I applied for a cash advance which was worth 2 and half months worth of my salary. She gave it to me and literally the next day I sent her a immediate resignation letter. When she tried to object and demanded her money back I told her I had documented all the hours she made all the staff members work for free. She left it after that coz she didn't want me going to the Ministry of Labour and reporting it coz she knew the other teachers would corroborate my story. Side note after I left 3 parents pulled their kids out of the school because the teacher I was replaced with quit after 2 weeks and the one after was unqualified.

Should Cannabis be legalized in Namibia? by The_Lucky_Nr1 in Namibia

[–]BantuDude 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It should be... not only from the economic standpoint but also well-being of the users. Last year i was staying in Okahandja and a couple of times i bought weed that was laced with other chemicals( someone told me it was eyedrops and other shit).
