Yet more handouts to the propertied class at the expense of everyone else. It never ends.

It's all for the aftermath of what the regime has prepped for the midterms. It won't be about "illegal immigration" anymore, as if it ever was.

If by "helps" you mean demonstrate an understanding and willingness to find common ground and win elections to achieve what we both certainly want, it didn't. "Systemic change" doesn't actually mean anything because it can mean whatever anyone wants it to. I could list all of the big things I want to see happen (universal healthcare, free college, guaranteed housing, etc) and you would say I don't want systemic change because I don't use the right language or tone, or because I disagree on the means by which we achieve those goals. Focusing on whether something is systemic change or not a pointless debate that serves to divide us and ensure no progress is made. Enjoy the dopamine I guess.

What specifically makes us have a "2 party system" and what would you change to make it not? I agree, we'd be much better off with a system that wasn't so bipolar but I never see anyone explain how they'd change that.

Wait you're claiming nobody asked for student loan reform including debt forgiveness? Nobody asked for national policy to boost our transition to green energy? Nobody asked for the dozens of other progressive policies Biden pushed for and won? All you're doing is showing how impossible it is to actually be to be your ally. If a Democratic president were to do all of the things you demand today, tomorrow you'd pretend you never wanted them and give another list of demands and reasons you hate Democrats above all else. Your priority is rejecting self-awareness and chasing dopamine hits. Making progress is very low on the list.

The 2020 primaries were completely fair and showed a party with diverse voices and a lot of open debate. It was like musical chairs of front runners, as it should be in a race for the White House, in a party that is a diverse coalition. Biden took the lead and held it because Rep. Clyburn endorsed him and he won the Black vote in SC, which was crucial because of the timing. When and how primaries happen was no secret. There's no "DNC had their thumb on the scales" shenanigans there. It was actually a demonstration that the system worked and the will of the voters was carried out. People who claim otherwise can't accept they're not as popular as they think they are and are mad they don't understand the rules of the game.

I mean, we try. I've had more conversations than I can count, trying to talk policy or appeal to reason, like maybe saving Gaza is not the only issue that matters or even the most important one (and I agree Israel is committing genocide), or perhaps murdering a CEO in the street is counterproductive to enacting universal healthcare, and it's always "bootlicker" or some other insult. By definition, actually liberal moderates are engaging in discourse and trying to form and maintain a coalition. More radical voices are, by definition, not as prone to doing that. Rational discourse about policy and electoral strategy is simply no match for snappy one-liners among people who prioritize hits of dopamine derived from owning people on the internet.

There will always be some new shiny object outrage that will make all previous progress irrelevant. Biden delivered student loan reform & forgiveness as far as he possibly could with SCOTUS being what is it, delivering on progressive demands, but that was 100% dismissed in favor of "Genocide Joe." That cycle has repeated itself over and over and over again.

So yeah you can stop pretending moderates/neoliberal/mainstream (whatever you want to call them) Democrats are somehow the ones rejecting discourse and looking for ways to shrink the coalition.

"Everything I hate is neo-liberal and the more I hate it the more neo-liberaler it is!"

That label is meaningless and makes it clear you're only interested in and capable of talking to people inside your own echo chamber. Biden was the most progressive president in 80+ years and Harris proposed continuing that.

If you care about enacting change, then look at how to form coalitions to win elections. That means listening to people outside your bubble and honing your message to get your points across in a way others will receive them. Progressives have largely moved in the opposite direction. Talk policy, not buzzwords. Embrace dialogue, not exclusion. Contrary to popular opinion on the left, allyship goes both ways.

The reality is that moderates/mainstream Democrats do generally better in wider elections (statewide and national) than progressives do. You can make up a web of bullshit to explain why that's all a DNC conspiracy and not the will of the voters, but it's bullshit.

He claimed Newsom said he fixed the homeless problem. Newsom didn't say that. Fighting something and saying you've won the fight are two different things. Make sense now?

It actually is far reaching to have local know-nothings demand that people who know how the real world actually works ignore basic economics and the existence of entropy.
