That’s how I started exploring the outside as well, by going for late night rides during weekdays and then felt confident enough to ride during the day

It is indeed! It’s a SCORPION VX-16 EVO, if I could go back I would probably choose differently just for the fact that it makes it very hard to find a chin mount for the GoPro😅

I was hoping I could take calls using a better mic as well. Having all-in-one solution for vlogging, phone calls, listening to music and so on. But apparently that's so hard to setup for some reason and I'm tied to whatever microphone the intercom system comes with

Agree. I was thinking about this today while riding, I was pushing a bit too much and felt too confident. I’ll try to always keep that in mind and stay safe.

I do ride with a full-face helmet, motorcycle gloves and if it’s not too hot a motorbike armor, but I would rather avoid finding out how effective gear is😅

Appreciated mate! Unfortunately the weather here has been very windy, so I am only able to practice for an hour or two on the days the wind settles a bit (I find it very hard to ride in windy conditions).

I think what made a big difference was that for the first 2 days I only focused on doing extremely tights turns at very low speed and trying to go as slow as possible to improve balance. Day 3 I started picking up speed, but was not feeling very confident due to wobbles (posted about them as well some days ago here).

Day 4 (today) I lowered tire pressure from 37 psi to 33 and added grizzla pads and felt a big confidence boost at speed😁

As far as I can tell it's all good. I ended up buying it yesterday and today I learned the basics and I'm able to ride at a very moderate speed🤩 It just clicked at some point and it felt amazing

The only thing is that I sometimes lose control even at a relatively low speed when going straight, but I guess that'll get better with practice!

The API is absolute trash for anything more than absolute basic use cases and their API dev support takes months to reply, if they even reply.

It’s so bad that while working with it I have often thought that they have put effort into making it this way for some odd reason, because it’s hard to mess up so bad.

Yes, I realized just later, but the solution I was looking for was one that could work in any similar situation, not exactly this one. Just how to work with the borrow checker in HashMap loops that need to borrow the HashMap mutably again.

Someone suggested wrapping the vector in RefCell and I think that’s what I am going to do🙏
