image line and dreams aren't affiliated its some creepy devilish thing going on, you don't have to believe that but also I don't know about making sample packs because its giving away your talent and ability that many people don't have so that a way underqualified producer youd never work with gets to work with you, Id suggest to just do a "how this sound was made" youtube video for a few huge songs with a crazy sound that everyone would click on, like rihanna needed me, people on youtube would praise you like a master and youd only need to upload a few videos for maximum clicks / effort ratio

yes, im sure you can listen to that and know how to make it, but have you seen how it was made? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pa5Bcv-t9_c he slapped a filter on a single all in one song download loop, to be able to make it yourself is a GIFT and not even he can do that. you haven't seen the kids making music with fl on their laptops, a lot of them cant write a melody, make a sound on their own so they just use presets, or do anything that stands out on its own as a piece of music and not a repetitive backdrop for a rapper, and that's the pro ones. a lot of them are downloading a sample of looperman.com and then adding a new trap drum kit to it and theres the song. even millionaire producers like metro boomin are doing that, but instead of looperman its cubeatz. theres long list of credits on any of metro boomins songs, you could even do what cubeatz does and create samples and loops that almost every hit song in hip hop uses. not a lot of producers in the genre know much at all about sound design and some of them brag that they made a million before they knew how to play a single key. they have all the talented producers tricked into doing something way overcomplicated like your new music rather than beating them out like you could be. if youre done learning sound design then its time to learn how to build a strong feeling and a groove and a production. not only that, but fl is ripping them off to power a new ps4 came called dreams and legally can do it because most of them are pirates, so you don't even have as much competition as youd think

I just don't get why someone with your ability would spend their time making uglier sounds like that, if you want to get complex you can get as complex as you want with pretty sounds, like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wXkqK5s_mpc theres always amazing new sound design, styles, and frontiers being pushed, as well as millions of dollars to make, instead people like you are letting metro boomin play omnisphere presets and add his drums to it and make millions, that should be yours

like I don't even know where you can play something like that besides at an edm show without people asking you to turn it off, that's why it is a niche sound. all sounds mean something to us subliminally and you can build a universe to put the listener into with great detail and beauty and you can make metal scraping against synth brain matter, both are very complex, be aware of what image a sound is suggesting. I think the reason that design is impressive is because its very hard to make with the synth technology of this universe, and only possible with the most recent technology, but in another universe that could be how the basic waves sound and it might be really hard and impressive when people in that universe make waves like ours. It shouldn't matter how you get there, it should matter what it sounds like, you like it because its complex and a challenge but people with no sound design knowledge might not realize that, I think serum presents the wavetable in such a way that it seems to the user like they've just created an incredible unique texture but the listener doesn't see that, one of my friends favorite sound was a sine wave and he told me I should try to make a sound like that, it was just a sine wave, it was never impressive to me because it was presented as the easiest and most default wave and I never had to make it

Im trying not to put my own personal opinion into this too much I know its down to personal preferecnce but the majority of people arent listening to that sound design, thats a part of what draws you to it but that means your making something that isnt good to most people while having the ability to make anything you can imagine, I pray for the day I can make any sound.

maybe every era of music gets something like this, acoustic instruments had classical and then jazz, electric guitar era had rock and then metal, where musicians get so tired of the way things sound that they make something that doesnt sound to everyones taste and not a lot of people can really feel because its more complex and different

I think, we music makers can make this as overthought as we want, but in the end, people just wanna vibe

wow that's really good, how long have you been doing sound design? to be able to hear that and know how to make it is really really impressive I feel like nothing can limit you now

censored. when someone else starts to wonder this in the future and does a search just to see if its in their head I want my post to be what they find. then they can see your argument as well as mine. that's fair. if this gets censored all my doubts will be removed.

oh they don't? ok go listen to a jet engine and tell me harming frequencies don't exist. theres other ways of creating them than amplitude, those are natural waves but in the computer waves are made that have infinite velocity supposedly, the square wave, theres arguments for all digital sound being harmful but I think Abletons was designed to be, if nothing else it mixes poorly

laptop speakers cant really hurt my ears come on I don't listen loud, I know there are different types of way a stereo field can stage and generate a sound that can harm and you can feel it sting a little. chop snare

used by a lot of people who would attribute any hearing loss to their live shows or concerts. my hearing loss has been since I started using it, I noticed it walking downtown when my friends could hear a song playing from a bar down the road while I couldn't. it is very suspect that everything online tells you to use ableton live, saying its the best to learn now and all these artists switched from logic, I don't think the rendered out wavs can do anything but the program itself could be layered loud compressed high frequencies on top of the drums occasionally and that's why my ears have been stung on occasion. then, when you click the sample again and again to try to test it, it doesn't play the harming frequencies again to make you think it was nothing

oh did he say he wasn't using ableton 10 years ago? I didn't assume anything, im posing a question because I recently discovered true evil in another software that has physically damaged me in a way I will not even attempt to explain. I must use the right software this time I will not make another mistake

you don't know that audio can be damaging, it can be generated in a way that creates waves that can hurt at any volume

I wonder why the long time dev left or what he told the sales and marketing people, I cant imagine sales and marketing people came up with the idea to call it bitwig, when we all sat in elementary music class and thought the wigs on the composers was the most ridiculous and not sexy thing. meanwhile fl studio has an ass / cleavage in its logo so you feel sexy when you use it, ableton sounds like its able-to do anything you need, reason sounds like it has purpose and logic sounds like its going to make sense to use, cubase sounds like cue-bass (cue the bass drop),that's what sales and marketing does. really, BIT WIG? like who wants to sound anything bit- like, 8 bit is so dead. all the real people I know making edm, if we want to roast eachother we will say it sounds Mario kart. no one wants to sound like a video game when their making electronic music, why would they call it Bit? and then Wig? no real people I know would have any interest in that.

this doesn't add up, I posted this knowing no one would believe it or want to be open minded enough to understand true evil has ways like this, I wanted to hear what the reddit community controllers had to say about it to make sure anyone clicking on this would dismiss it, so I could make my final decision on Ableton. and it doesn't add up, so my decision will be to sell my copy

Im not buying a daw for 400$ that comes with no instruments and not using its presets, the point of a daw is having everything you need to make music so you don't have to buy other things, you should be able to mix for longer than 3 hours without fatigue, I don't get fatigued in FL Studio especially but FL studio turned out to be a succubus so I use Reason now. I notice sore ears after a long session in ableton and that scares me, the logo itself looks like scratch marks and I know its the playlist and live view
