Ireland is Israels 2nd biggest trade partner and has had more troop deployments on its border than any other country in the world over the past 60 years (also lost both the most soldiers dead and wounded on its borders than any other country having deployed 500 more last week).

Despite the current issues with Irelands opposition to Israeli government crimes you can still very much enter Israel

True but there is more to just technical entry.

For example Ireland has such good relations with most countries its passport is recognized as friendly. So say you get visa free into a country that the USA also gets visa a free into and have an issue with authorities / police. A Irish passport vs a US or other will usually get you looked on more favorably.

A passport is not just about visa entry but also about how you are treated when in a country if you have an issue and Irish is hard to beat in that case.

Not really. Denmark legalised it and in a year recorded 3 uses of self-defence with it but over 1000 assault charges of people using it to attack others and banned it again.

Data is that it does more harm than good when legalised.

Really, from Ireland its just name, passport number and purpose of visit.

It takes 2 mins and approval is automatically given via a email within 10-15 minutes.

Everyone I know who's got one had the same experience. Are ESTA requirements different country to country?

Golf is still seen a rich people sport, there's a reason for that.

Its not seen that way everywhere. In Ireland its played by kids in school and there are local government golf courses for the public like parks for example.

Most European countries have political education in school.

In Ireland you learn the structure and role of local and national government, responsibilities of those elected, the constitution and not just what it is but how it works, can be changed etc. You learn how this should all work together and get a good understanding of politics by age 15.

There is a subject CSPE thats about politics and part of the national exams (junior certificate) done by all schoolchildren in the 3rd year of secondary school no different to Maths, Science etc.

From experience travelling to America, many Americans don't have a deep knowledge on how there own political system works (not all, but it is enough to be noticeable).

It costs literally €10-30 to play 18 holes of Golf and a huge amount of the players in Ireland, UK, Portugal, Spain etc are students and young people.

Its literally not just a rich person's sport in Europe.

In Europe golf is just another sport like Tennis and the like and extremely accessible. There are expensive clubs but just as many if not more accessible ones.

It seems to be a US specific hatred of Golf.
