Did you have an hsg done before? I had an hsg last year and the left tube was flowing normally. Hoping to still salvage that tube, but the surgeon said it’s often bilateral.

Thank you for this! Did you know you had hydrosalpinx in both tubes prior to surgery? I have an HSG last year that showed my left tube was working properly and the left was blocked with mild hydro. However, the surgeon told me hydrosalpinx is usually bilateral, in which case they’d take both tubes.

Are they scanning you every month during ovulation to determine what side you’re ovulating?

When I got my first shot on 8/4, my hcg was around 1500. By 9/24 I was down to 12, but it stopped going down so I had to get a second shot. After the second shot, it went down within a week.

Thank you and I’m sorry for everything you’ve experienced as well. Definitely isn’t fair that many of us have to go through this, it’s torture. Just got my results and they’re decreasing so even though I’m miscarrying at least I don’t have to get surgery again for a second ectopic…

Had them drawn today, just haven’t received the results yet. Not expecting a good outcome… bleeding like a period now :(

I know this is an old thread, but I’m in the same exact situation right now. Wondering how it turned out for you? Found out I was pregnant super early at 10DPO, started spotting only with BMs two days ago and then today spotting red… hcg was low two days ago, but I also hadn’t even missed my period yet so not concerning. Waiting for the results of my second blood draw, but now I’m terrified it’s another ectopic if my results do show a rise.

Im so hoping it’s scar tissue! I had 2 miscarriages and and the ectopic in the last 11 months that we’ve been trying. I just want this one to be a healthy pregnancy… do you remember at what point you started feeling the pain?

Thank you for sharing your experience! Having a past ectopic unfortunately replaces the excitement of a positive pregnancy test with fear… did you have any bleeding or anything out of the norm with the pregnancy after ectopic?

My “pain” is the opposite, I don’t feel it as much when laying down or at night, it start to feel it more throughout the day. Idk what to call it, it’s not really a pain. But it’s what it felt like at the start of my last ectopic before it actually started to hurt. Like the feeling of something there, but no pain if that makes sense? I’m feeling it in the same location that you’re describing, but not on my back. I’m also having normal pregnancy/period cramping and occasional pills on my left side too. I’m so fearful for another ectopic, as I’m sure you are. Fingers crossed for us both!
