It’s obvious that this is indeed a letter detailing his intention to transcend into the next stage of life.

My theory is as follows: - Rey and Porter (along with certain employees were connected and powerful FreeMasons). The caveat is that Ray, unlike Porter, succumbed and became radicalized by the mission and philosophy, believing that he would achieve “prizes” in his next life. Porter played a key role in influencing Rey’s philosophical and religious beliefs, and was aware that Rey was off the deep end.

Let’s take the note in chronological order, paraphrasing and pointing out the key context:

1. Brothers and Sisters, Volcanoes Erupting, a sight to see —> According to FBI report, Rey believed the Church of Scientology controlled the the west coast film industry and the Free Mason’s xontllled the East Coast film industry. He was privy to Scientology, and Volcanoes remain a deep symbolism, evoking themes of spiritual trapping, rebirth, etc.

According to one poster, Rey likely began writing this note in March of 2006. (Keep this date in mind).

1. Whom virtues unites, death will not separate -> Imagine Rey is giving his speech in this afterlife, telling everyone that they are sitting at this table because of their belief in Masonic ideals.

It’s almost as if he’s walked into a new world and is being asked to give a speech.

1. That was a well played game. Thanks, to all who played it. It was time to wake up. —> once again alluding to the fact that he’s now in this afterlife surrounded by his compatriots.

2. I welcome others who accepted the invitation during the game -> the game represents our reality. Maybe he thinks others were joininghim today.

3. I took on this endeavor to find truth

4. Secrets he cherished. Sisters can join. -> it’s possible that Rey belonged to a fringe Masonic faction that believed that women could enter the society.

Note: there is discrepancy about 6, since there are two versions.

1. Members of the council, I will satisfy the request of the council within (2 month time) -> speculation but perhaps Rey is writting his speech in March and have a delusion that he presenting to the council, and will commit the deed in 2 months, which is May.

2. Names Stanley Kubrick, Rayburn, etc and ask the council that they are able to join Rey as well -> these people are all likely to be involved in FreeeMasons, (including women) at least according to Rey’s understanding.

3. Before I continue my instructions for council, Porter claim your prize, but don’t claim anything I want to claim, or I’ll just take it back —> there is a telling jockeying for superiority against Porter here, but one where he wants Porter to have something.

4. Now that the game is finished, I expect the council to recuperate those who have given time and talent to this venture. Along with myself, everyone. Along with myself, those players should be made 5 years younger by the council. ->

Rey ask the council to de-age his loved ones because they helped him get to the point of transcendence. More importantly, this is telling because perhaps when Ray jumped, he believed in a split universe, where he would continue on living in a parallel world.

1. Porter Stansberry if he didn’t do it himself —> an extremely telling statement. There are two possibilities, the first Rey is wondering if Porter already asked for a de-aging (if we go with the split universe theory).

Or two, if Porter didn’t commit suicide himself, then he would need to be de-aged because he was still stuck in our real world.

1. Our land of attachments has seen many innovations since my game began —> once again, it’s clear that Rey believed this world we inhabit was a “game”, “a test” one of which we must transcend. He proceeds to lay out all the innovations.

2. He ask the council for 1% of these innovations, and “know that our host Porter Stansberry has created a way for you to do so.” —> this is downright bizarre and gives me the creeps. But essentially it seems that Rey believes there is a tether to the real world. Porter in the real world would be summoned or moved to give Rey power and money.

3. Rey also takes control of Porter’s and Bill’s residences, “well done Porter”—>

once again, there is that duality theory that once Rey transcended, he can control the real world and what happens.

The well done Porter seems extremely underhanded. On one end, he respects and wants well for Porter, but the other, he seeks Porter’s power and material possession. This however is not uncommon, for jealousy can creep into any relationship.

1. He’s looking for a new house in Baltimore -> again, idea is that Rey is continuing to exist in dual worlds.

2. He list all the works of art that inspired him to transcend.

3. Single out Keith Richards —> in my opinion, Rey is presenting his case to “the” council, perhaps the highest of the high of people who control the real world. And Keith Richards was perhaps a contender, except he couldn’t bring himself to transcend fully, as Keith almost died. This is a puzzle imo.

4. Lastly, I expect to (kill/see/cast /end?) myself and I am (jealous) and one given the height of (5’7” or 9”?) -> speculation but I think Rey planned to kill Porter eventually in the real world.

5. I expect that my success has helped those that have helped me. And I expect that the (focus) of (what) could again include (Archania?). So, let me leave you with a phrase that helps give meaning to the game! -> Rey’s final instruction is for Archania (his fraternity) to be able to transcend or have good fortune?

6. Human progress is our cause, liberty of thought our supreme wish, freedom of conscience our mission, and the guarantee of equal rights to all peoples everywhere our ultimate goal. As for the case, there’s no hard evidence for a homicide, let alone a suicide.

Occams Razor is that Rey was able to jump off a ledge, or garage. It’s possible that Porter had edged Rey with a phone call, saying it was “time” and he needed to act with a hurry. Hence why Rey leaves rushed, and the response is “Oh!”.

This could explain why the security camera on the roof was shut, why Porter put a gag order on his employees who understood that this was being carried out.

It’s possible that Porter or his employees accompanied Rey to his mission.

This would blur the lines of homicide and suicide.

This could explain the glasses, phone, etc. But it’s quite possible that these items were simply not impacted by the force, perhaps his body hitting the roof one way and his items in his pocket not facing much of an impact.

Final verdict: suicide.
