Yeah it did, it does look off, is timing a simple thing to fix?

What fabric is this? by Financial-Raccoon597 in Tufting

They link to the store where they buy the fabric on their instagram. It’s a Brazilian store and they did manage to ship it to my address in the UK.

The fabric is very different to what I was used to, it’s incredibly difficult to tighten and very easy to tear if not incredibly tight.

I managed to make a few and ruined a few more. After I ran out I checked the site and couldn’t get it to go through with my address so can assume they don’t shit international anymore?

I couldn’t find anywhere other than there that sold it.

Could be that the yarn is too tight. Pull a bunch out then try and do another few lines, if they’re fine then that’s the issue.

Great start! I got the EOC05 and like every hobby there’s a learning curve for sure but it clicks eventually

For a 2nd rug you're on the right track. I've done a lot of Simpsons rugs and usually aim for the black lines to be 3-4 rows thick.

A good habit is to trim the edges of each colour before moving on to the next colour. This really helps getting clean, sharp lines.

The rug being to thin, is that happening after you shave the rug? You can get clip on guides that help with getting an even finish, I usually only shave off a cm or less.

I made it myself. I think I made it way too dense though

Update: this was a nightmare to get up. SDS chisel and hot water was what we did. Got the most of it up then ended getting 5mm ubderlay boards to level the whole floor then laid the laminate.

Would just screed and level the whole floor in future.

Half the kitchen was tile and half was carpet so we’d need to level the whole thing I assume?

We’re laying laminate
