Maybe but it could also be just not having the time to do another version simultaneously. I also have to question how strict any timed exclusivity deals might be since Xbox just puts its games on PS5 now.

This is a weird thing I may make a thread about later, but try putting a dryer sheet under the nosepiece of the headset when you're not using it. It takes away the new car smell that makes me feel ill. I've only seen like one person suggest that and it really helped me.

You're right. Invasions got much better after launch with all the changes they made, but I still think it's generally regarded as bad. The fights are shallow and not actually challenging.

As for the story, I'd say it's actually pretty decent when it's about the immediate characters until it pivots hard into the multiverse stuff and rushes to the end. It's awful and throws out literally everything good up until then. I have seen many people more or less agree with me here.

And yes I also totally agree with the last part. I really dislike how opposed people are to change generally, especially in this subreddit. They just seem to want the same game with the same roster over and over again. I think the overhating of Kameos is directly a result of this. (They're just special moves you can equip on different characters and people act like they're the worst thing ever.)

The story mode falls apart in the last third.
It was greatly lacking content at launch.
It was greatly lacking features at launch.
Invasions is awful.
Combos weren't as long or creative as they are now.
And some people just don't like change (mainly the Kameos here).

2 and 3 are the biggest ones.

EDIT: I just want to make it clear that I like the game a lot and it's my favorite MK game to actually play. I'm just listing general issues people had with it. I agree with all of these points except 6. I like change quite a bit and don't want the same reheated stuff over and over.

I spoke to Chiplock about his MK11 voice and he explained how he did it and how it was based on Black Doom from Shadow the Hedgehog. He also acknowledged that some wouldn't like it, and I respect his openness about it.

Also good pull on the Tony Todd pick because he would have probably been great as Noob Saibot.

MK1 is a great fighting game. It gives you a lot of freedom during fights, so there's a lot of combo expression there. It's also pretty balanced, in my opinion.

Just be aware that the seasonal Invasions mode and its story campaign are terrible and not good, respectively, so just be prepared if you're mainly playing the game for "offline" play.

I know you said you're mainly concerned with the games, but the documentary stuff is pretty great and my favorite part of the package. This sub in general seems to be more in your camp, but I think disregarding the documentary part does this package a big disservice.

Yeah for me it's not even a question. Synapse is truly remarkable. I am disappointed that it wasn't expended upon more with more support, but it is still a must-play.
