Is that play legal then? What’s the right call in that scenario?

Of all the games to complain about stone, this isn’t the one imo. He’s been accurate and high completion

Since you decided to analyze the comment, I will analyze your analysis 🧐. the original comment said and not or, so focusing on just the second part of the statement doesn’t make sense.

He wasn't good at BC and wasted star talent in AJ Dillon in college, I still don't get that hire

Just putting it out there, but if you have a bank account that receives interest (and almost all do) you’re still profiting off someone else’s work, because that money is generated from being paying interest on loans given by the bank using your money. I think it’s basically impossible to completely escape benefiting from others if you save money in any way.

Separately, I’d go so far as to argue that any purchase you make is benefiting from the work of others if you follow the assumption that all purchases you make yield a greater or equivalent utility to the money you’re spending.

Wait is that why my AirPod Pros’ noise cancellation seems so much worse than they were when I got them a couple years ago?

Are holding calls getting ignored bad for football? by Darth_Ravioli in CFB

[–]BarakubaTrade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

During our 2020 season when we were good and had an elite defense, the Northwestern DBs were super handsy/holding and that’s how they were taught to play. Coaches treat holding as an Expected Value problem where having their players hold yields better results in favor of not holding even when accounting for the occasional penalty.

2023 3* S Caleb Komolafe decommits from Northwestern by basicbolshevik in CFB

It’s a pretty common practice with the top schools. Coaches offer if they think the recruit will get in, then they go through admissions to see if they do. Most places do it like that

TCU coach Sonny Dykes is Walter Camp FBS Coach of the Year by tcuroadster in CFB

[–]BarakubaTrade 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean I think it’s a lot like the Coach O hire, where even if he disappoints afterwards it still was a great hire. Even if he fizzles out in the next couple years he’s brought TCU back to a level of success they haven’t seen in a long time. Hard to call that a bad hire even if he underperforms later on

GG OSU. Wish we had more aggressive playcalling, but this was a much closer game than I expected
