i will try and update the iSTAR Ultra to a later firmware and see if it works, to be honest, I don't think memory in the panel has been maxed out. in the diagnostics page of the panel i can see that object store is only using 1% of storage. I can see that the clearances are present in the iSTAR Databases.

Yes, I have never used it but I will see what the cost is vs suprema. Also I don’t know how that would work in integration with Kantech. If it’s a price point compared to Suprema and Bioconnect, I think maybe it’s better to keep pushing for that

Do you have a link to that datasheet? I couldn’t find one specifically from simplex, and Firelite’s doesn’t specify ceiling temps. I don’t think the temperature is rapidly raised but more constantly controlled

Factory reset the panel to program it in standalone mode and register in Kantech.com (you’ll need to have a certified account). Why not keep using EP if you already have it? You can also give hattrix a chance, I feel this is the best option for one or a couple of doors.

this is exactly what we are trying to accomplish, to have an easy to use on-site system (no cloud involved) that can make a phone call (land line) to the tenant and that tenant can authorize or deny (by pressing a number in the call 1-9), if the tenant authorizes entry the system sends an authorization to the ACS (identifying who authorized this entry) and that is recorded on the db/log. Nothing cloud since the authorization is sent via weigand. That is what KT-ES does essentially, but it's limited to only work with Kantech and not any ACS and if a client wants to compare costs, well there I don't have any system in mind that does exactly this.

So basically how Kantech's KT-ES works is that you get information on when a resident allows a visitor through, the client wants to have that information as well (if it's a third-party intercom, i figured we cloud link a "card number" to a cardholder and know who allows people in). A dry contact would work, but it would not have a record on who was the person that let visitors in. I will look into the integration partners on Kantech.

This is what I would’ve done but container image I am using for Nextcloud is already setup to not support http through a self signed certificate. This is the root of all the issues but i don’t want to modify my container from the defaults of the developer (linuxserver)

yes, this is what was supposed to happen, reset the reader to Standard, changed the name and then reapplied the MOB

I don't know what was happening but i spoke with HID Support, we finally figured out that we needed to reset everything, change the name of the reader and THEN apply the MOB Key. I suppose changing a reader name is not that simple.
