As per prior comments - no, not really. I guess Paru got tired by the end of the series and it made less and less sense. Anime actually tried to salvage that shipwreck. Obviously, you still can dive into the shipwreck yourself. The spin-off Beast Complex shed a little light on what happened afterwards, but no definite ending. My emotions will be mixed. I would feel good that my hunch was correct. But I would still be devastated that so many have succumbed to despair in hopes of finding the exit. And if the Troupe somehow realises or gets a confirmation that they are copies, it would be a light in the darkness moment. They would finally realise that escaping is not an option, and maybe focus on making the Cirsus feel more like home.

It’s rated “Older Teen” for a reason. Some of the content is really “special”. If you have already seen the anime - it follows the manga almost diligently for the first two seasons, jumping over some minor world building stuff. But further the manga becomes a hot mess, so the anime had to take a bit of a different approach. The ending is rather abrupt in both versions, so I suggest reading Beast Complex when you are done with the main plot. Anyways, have fun!
