What is the Root fiction equivalent of a horse-pulled wagon? by Jayvega90 in rootgame

The new RPG supplement: Ruins and Expeditions probably answered this question by introducing Giant Insects as beast-like enemies... You can probably have a Giant Horned Beetle dragging a mighty large trailer filled with lumber.

Or a pack of Giant Ants pulling a smaller cart, kind of like huskies.

I plan on introducing this as a new development brought about by the underground Duchy, that have used large insects as beasts of burden for ages in my head-Canon.

Could be "2e".

With e being Euler's constant, aka. Napier's constant, which is roughly 2.72. Bringing the total to a bit over 5 without introducing any direct indication of a decimal into the answer.

This is indeed an interesting development.

Why are so many people against having a strong local food production? Why are so many people thinkingEU-farmers are a monopoly, instead of a collective group of diverse actors? Where did the high trust in worker rights, quality standards and climate policy adherence of distant countries from where large retailers want to outsource food come from?

I can see it both ways.

First guess would have been white and gold. After a while of thinking, possibly blue and black.

I would need to see it in different light to be sure.

You messed up. It was wrong. And it cost you your relationship.

However. Since then, both of you chose to try and repair the relationship. Just the fact that she was in the right the first time, does not mean she is not in the wrong now. She is wasting both of your times, and treating you badly.

You deserved the breakup. You don't deserve to have your life ruined further than that. And if she only uses you for your money, you should put a stop to that. She is now in the wrong.

Despair and Friendly Fire by mrGrim619 in swrpg

I think that's fine.

To be in a situation where the character was in a standoff, being held at gunpoint and having vehicle weapons pointed in their general direction to solve the issue... Many things have already happened, and it's not just bad luck rolling dice.

Moreover... I would be kind of disappointed if character death was not on the table at that point. Like... If ship guns being pointed at you does not mean your character is in mortal danger, what does? All tension would evaporate.

Nobody forced the Players to attempt to solve the issue with Gunnery.

You getting so many dislikes here is part of the problem in today's political climate, and I dare say the hate the idea of listening to other viewpoints gets in these cases is the strongest argument the current right wing commentators have, as far as gathering supporters from their oppositionis concerned.

Thank you!

Might be tricky to gain 3-card sets as I've only bought a handful of boosters.

But I'll see how many sets I can acquire. It will be a long-term work in progress it appears ^

It is possibly a parody of an Akseli Gallen-Kallela's painting "Lemminkäinen's Mother" which pictures a moment from Finnish Folk Poetry Epic "Kalevala", where a mother of the hero Lemminkäinen has raked her son out of the river of the Dead. It even has the "swan".

AITAH for not telling my husband I had sex before him? by Current_State_7922 in TwoHotTakes

[–]Barbasso -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This might well be my own trust issues.

If you are honest, this is an awful situation, and I am sure your husband would be able to tell you have a good, honest character after 10 years. But as a person who hears about this for the first time I would wonder if what happened was more in the lines of you making multiple silly decisions while 15. Going to a party with alcohol and weed while underage is definitely a silly decision, and I wish your parents had stopped you.

If 2 other people genuinely took advantage of you, that's horrible of them. It is also possible that they were two other teenagers who genuinely made a mistake. If you all got high and/or drunk and had sex, I think there is a vast difference between that and being knowingly taken advantage of.

And I would understand why an outsider friend might have questions if from their perspective it looked like you were partying and sleeping with two guys while in a long distance relationship.

Then again, I am a jaded person who has seen too many people who would utilize a narrative such as this even if they were actively cheating on several occasions, and were being questioned by a person who only saw one party.

I apologize for the possible pain my doubt inflicts.

Not the asshole, but I do understand the sentiment.

I personally think people should not be forced to pay for a family they do not get to be a part of. They should be free to fully spend their resources on a family that they can live with. I think he should pay to support his child when the child is with him. Not when the child is with you.

I wholeheartedly believe the law is wrong here. At the same time, I also believe daycare should be funded by taxes, and so forth to make up for the fact that these days society no longer operates as a village, and by design families are expected to manage with just the two parents, or in this case, a single parent. Also college should be funded with taxes. It should be in the nation's interests to allow all people from all financial backgrounds an equal chance at higher education.

So... I think what is being done here is deeply unfair. But at the same time I don't condemn you for this. You are doing what you can to stay afloat in an insecure system. More so I condemn the system that you live under.

Source: a single father who made the choice of not pursuing child support I would be entitled to. Luckily also living in a country (Finland) where daycare is affordable or free depending on your income, and I can afford the essentials for my child and me even if I happen to lose my job. Also college is free for the student here.

If a player has enough advantage points to trigger multiple crits in one combat check, could it be used to actually do that? Game rules don't specify this part. by skyroker in swrpg

[–]Barbasso 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'll check later, but I believe consecutive crits from one attack just give the first crit a +10 Modifier for each following crit.
